 United Through Creativity FREE Download

The first Stampin’ Up! value statement is this: we care about people first. To me, caring about people first means treating others with kindness, respect, and equal consideration. It means working together towards a common goal, helping each other through life’s challenges, and celebrating one another’s accomplishments. It means including others, even when we disagree, have contrasting life experiences, or simply see things differently. Caring about people first is our greatest strength!

In honor of this value—and in the spirit of World Diversity Day which was May 21st—we’d like to celebrate what makes us unique through what brings us together: creativity! The United Through Creativity Digital Download features inclusive, multicultural, and multilingual sentiments and illustrations that represent the multiple markets Stampin’ Up! engages with. And, it’s free for all! Just use my link above, or go to Stampinup.com and get your free download for you to print off and make these cards. I used 2 of the images from the set, printed them on Whisper/Basic White cardstock and made these cards.

Here are the supplies you will need for these cards:
1. Misty Moonlight (and Granny Apple Green) card base cut 8 1/2 by 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded
2. Whisper/Basic White cardstock for the download (just print the pages you need), 5 by 3 3/4" (for the insides)
3. Pattern Party DSP cut with the largest Scalloped Contour die for the first card and cut 5 3/8 by 4 1/8" for the second and a matching 1/2 or 3/4 by 3 3/4" piece for the insides
4. Scrap of Pale Papaya cardstock for the sentiment cut 1 by 2 3/4", scrap of Bermuda Bay cut 1 1/4 by 5 3/8" and embossed with the Dots Embossing Folder.
5. Create with Friends stamp set (#156058)
6. Checks and Dots Embossing Folder (#155428) for second card
7. Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack (#153620)
8. Genial Gems (#155500)
9. Scalloped Contours (#155560) for the first card and Basic Borders (#155558) Dies for the second card
10. Ink--Misty Moonlight
11. Blends--Light and Dark Smokey Slate, Dark So Saffron, Dark Daffodil Delight, L&D Cinnamon Cider, Dark Poppy Parade, Dark Misty Moonlight. Dark Granny Apple Green, Dark Pale Papaya, Light Pool Party for the first card. The second card I also used Black, Dark Soft Suede, Dark Pumpkin Pie (blended with Poppy Parade for the red heads), and of course, your Color Lifter and whatever color you want for their skin on their hands.
12. Basic supplies--bone folder, Dimensionals (regular and mini), adhesive (Multipurpose Glue),

Let's make the first card on the top of this page. Start by downloading the United Through Creativity Digital Download on stampinup.com. The images I used are on page 2 so print that page onto Whisper/Basic white cardstock. Using the second largest Scalloped Contours die, cut out the image.

This is what I used to color this picture--the Smokey Slate, Dark So Saffron, Dark Daffodil Delight, L&D Cinnamon Cider to color the girls' hair. Poppy Parade to color the middle girl's nails and the dots on her shirt. I used the Misty Moonlight and Granny Apple Green on the left girl's shirt and Pale Papaya on the girl on the right's shirt. Then I outlined the whole thing with Light Pool Party and used my Color Lifter to blend out the line. Watch my Facebook Live from stampwithdrrobin below to see more coloring tips. Here's a close up below.

Attach the colored piece to the DSP piece using Dimensionals then attach them both to the Misty Moonlight card base once you've folded it in half along the score line. Tie a piece of the Misty Moonlight/white/silver twine around the card front and make a bow.

Attach the scrap of DSP to the bottom of the white inside piece and then attach that to the inside of the card. Stamp the word "Friends" from the Create with Friends stamp set in Misty Moonlight on the scrap of Pale Papaya cardstock and attach that to the bottom of the card--I used glue on the top part and a couple of mini Dimensionals on the bottom of the scrap.

For the second card, I cut this image out as a rectangle at 4 1/2 by about 3 3/4" and then used the Basic Border die above on the top and bottom to make it more interesting. I used the colors of Blends listed above to color in this piece. The word "together" I used was cut by hand out of one of the download sentiments that originally said "We belong together".
