Sweet Ice Cream goes to Disney

Image
Sweet Ice Cream goes to Disney I just love how fun and happy this card is! And it reminds me of so many wonderful days spent at Disneyland. And of ice cream, and who doesn't like ice cream?  I have to say that I would never have thought that our Ice Cream Builder punch could be used to make Mickey and Minnie ice cream pops, but thanks to Patty Bennett and Barb Stewart for their creativity in seeing this and inspiration in making this card.  Take a note below that many of the items I used to make this card are retiring soon and are while supplies last now, so if you want them you need to order asap. I'd especially recommend, if you don't have them, the Stitched Shapes dies and the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. They are both a must have in your stamping collection and I will never sell mine.  Supplies for this card :        1.  Whisper White/Basic White thick cardstock cut 8 1/2 by 5 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and then 1" cut off the front.

Purple Posy meets Butterfly Brilliance

Purple Posy meets Butterfly Brilliance  I'm already getting nostalgic for the 2019-21 In Colors and they haven't even gone away yet! I decided to make this card to show you a new technique to make your own pearlized paper in any color you want as well as to remind us all that these In Colors will be going away soon. I don't think the pictures here do it justice, but that butterfly is beautiful as it shimmers! I know that the Annual Catalog SAYS it is through May 3rd, but as soon as they announce on this Wednesday, March 24th what is retiring from the Annual Catalog, everything retiring is usually "while supplies last" and the items that tend to go first are the In Color ones. So take today to go through your cardstock and ink for the 2019-21 In Colors, as well as the Annual Catalog, and make sure you won't be one of those people who miss out on something they want to order. Let me know if you need any help with this. Supplies for this card:        1.  Purple P

Under My Umbrella--Rainy day fun

I live in what is usually sunny San Diego but today it's been raining most of the day, which is what inspired this card. We always need rain here, so this is a good thing, and as crafters, rain just means a good excuse to stay inside and craft! Am I right?  The other thing that inspired this card is I wanted to go back to the Annual Catalog and use something from there as I realized we only have another 7 weeks left of this catalog before over half of what is in it (and we won't know what until 3/24) goes bye-bye. And I hadn't really played with this stamps set much. And the third reason to make this card is that in 7 weeks also all the 2019-2020 In Colors go away also, which includes this lovely Seaside Spray cardstock. So get them now while you still can! Here's a close up of the card: The supplies you will need for this card are: Magenta Madness cardstock cut 8 1/2 by 5 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" (#153080) Basic Black cardstock (#121045) cut 5

Let's make a beautiful fun fold with the new Butterfly Bijou paper! This paper is part of the Butterfly Bouquet suite of products that are an early release from the 2021-2 Annual Catalog but the paper is only available while supplies last from 3/2/21-5/3/21. You are going to want at least one packet of this paper--I just ordered my second package yesterday as I've been using it like crazy.  The flier above shows the large, single stamp as well as the dies that go with it. There are dies that cut out some of the images from the paper as ones that cut out individual butterflies and some that cut a lacy layer to go over the butterflies. I will demo this more once I actually have the dies and stamp set, hopefully next week! But let's get going on making this card. You will need: Magenta Madness cardstock cut 4 1/4 by 5 1/2", a second piece cut 4 1/4 by 2 3/4" (#153080) Just Jade cardstock cut 8 by 5 1/4" scored at 4" (#153079), and a scrap for the oval But
