Forever & Always meets Fresh Freesia

Forever & Always meets Fresh Freesia

As the January-June Mini catalog winds down this month, I thought I'd have a play with the Forever and Always bundle before it goes away forever, as well as all the beautiful DSP I paired it with. Believe it or not, I've owned this bundle for 6 months and had not inked it up prior to this--I'd only used the dies in the past! And don't get me started on the True Love DSP-so many uses for this black and white DSP but when you color it with your Blends or using the new Blending Brushes it becomes a whole other level of gorgeous. I figure I can use this card for weddings or anniversaries as I seem to always need those cards.

If you want any of these products you need to order them now as when they are gone, they are gone. Also, many of the products in the Jan-June Mini catalog are on clearance sale through the end of the month so order by clicking on the little robin above left. For instance, the Love You Always Foil I used in the Rococo Rose card below is now 50% off! Let's get started on making this beautiful card.

First gather your supplies:
1. Sahara Sand card base cut 8 1/2 by 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded and a scrap for the Love background, and a scrap about 2 by 1/2" for the sentiment
2. Whisper/Basic White cardstock for the inside cut 3 3/4 by 5"
3. Love You Always (Sahara Sand one) DSP cut 1 3/4 by 5 1/4"
4. Fresh Freesia cardstock cut 4 by 5 1/4"
5. True Love DSP
6. 2021-22 In Color Shimmer Vellum (or Love You Always Foil for the cards below) for the Love
7. Forever & Always stamp set and Always Dies (bundle #156200)
8. Adhesive Sheets (#152334)
9. Ink--Fresh Freesia
10. Blends--Light and Dark Fresh Freesia and Light and Dark Mint Macaron for this card, Rococo Rose, Just Jade and Highland Heather for the others below.
11. Basic supplies--bone folder, Dimensionals (regular and mini), adhesive (Multipurpose Glue), silicone mat

Start by doing the stamping, all of it using Fresh Freesia ink--stamp the tiny flower on the inside white piece and the "Forever" on the 1/2" strip of Sahara Sand. After stamping the word you can trim down the piece if you need to. Stamp "Love" in the center of the Fresh Freesia piece on a diagonal, then just keep stamping around it, off-setting the rows.

Attach a piece of the Adhesive Sheet to a scrap of the Fresh Freesia Shimmer Vellum then die cut the word Love with it. Cut the background for the Love out of Sahara Sand and attach the word to the background. Alternatively, you can glue on the word--the easiest way to do that is to put a glob of glue on your silicone mat use a piece of sponge to dab glue onto the word. Check out my Facebook Live below on how to do that.

Fussy cut one of the groups of flowers from the True Love DSP. Color it using your Blends, but leave some of the edges white. See below what I mean.

You are ready to assemble. Fold your card base in half and attach the inside piece. Then attach the Love You Always strip to the stamped Fresh Freesia cardstock and that to the card base. Use Dimensionals to attach the rest of the pieces. See below for some other color combos using this same layout. The one below is using the now retired Rococo Rose--I couldn't help myself and had to use it!

On this one I used Highland Heather and ran the stamped "Love" page through with my Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
