Peaceful Deer in a Fancy Fold
Happy August everyone! I'm very excited today to bring you a card made with the Peaceful Deer stamp set and punch as it is a new bundle from our July-Dec Mini Catalog that starts tomorrow!! And this paper that I used is even more exciting as it is FREE as Stampin' Up is having a second Sale-A-Bration this year from August 3-September 30th and you can earn this paper for free by buying $50 worth of product from either this new or the Annual Catalog. The Sale-a-Bration catalog is packed with stunning free items--it's a great time to stock up on cardstock and the basics. All items in Sale-a-Bration are while supplies last, so order soon. Just click on the Robin above right and don't forget to use my host code S6FKSDVN.
I promised you a fancy fold, so see below how this card opens into a tri-fold card.
First gather your supplies:
1. Peaceful Prints DSP (#156628) cut 11 3/4 by 5 1/4" and a little piece with a deer looking to the right
2. Real Red cardstock cut 4 1/4 by 5 1/2" and a scrap for the sentiment piece
3. Peaceful Deer bundle (#156391)
4. Hippo and Friends Dies (#153585)
5. Ornate Layers Dies (#152726)--cut the one you see above out of Basic White
6. Red Rhinestones (#146924)
7.Black and White 1/4" Ribbon (#156485)
8. Ink--Memento Black
9. Wonderful Snowflakes (#156340)
10. Basic supplies--bone folder, adhesive (Multipurpose Glue), Regular and Mini Dimensionals, Piercing Mat, Paper Snips
First score your DSP at 1 3/4, 4 3/4 and 7 3/4" then accordion fold it. Watch my Facebook Live below to see how to do this. Glue the back of it to the piece of Real Red Cardstock. Stamp your sentiment in Memento on the Basic White Ornate Layers piece, and then glue it to the last page, making sure you can see the pretty edge when your card is folded.
Now snip out one of the deer looking to your right from the paper and use the punch to cut it out. See my Facebook Live for a hint on how to do this easier. Using the Hippo and Friends die seen below (it's the middle one of this group), cut a piece of Real Red Cardstock. Glue a snowflake to that and attach the deer using regular and mini Dimensionals.
Now add a few Red Rhinestones--I thought one looked cute on Rudolph's nose! And then tie a piece of Black and White ribbon around the front layer only (so they can enjoy the cool fancy fold) and you are done. Here's a close up of the deer below. Enjoy!
