Peaceful Deer Scene

As I'm running a special Stamp at Home with Dr. Robin class featuring the Peaceful Deer bundle, I thought I'd show you a sneak peek at one of the cards. I wanted to use the stamps to make a peaceful scene, one that you could use for any type of card. I haven't stamped a sentiment inside yet, as I haven't decided yet if this is a winter birthday card or a holiday card. It probably depends on what I need first!

First gather your supplies:

1. Basic White Thick cardstock cut 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half.

2. Basic White cardstock cut 3 1/4" by 5 1/2" 

3. Basic White cardstock cut using the largest Hippo and Friends die and a scrap for the animals and for the sentiment

4. Garden Green cardstock cut 3 1/2" by 5 1/2"

5. Stamp set--Peaceful Deer (#156891)

6. Dies--Hippo and Friends (#153585) and Stitched So Sweetly (#151690)

7. Embossing folder--Wintery 3D (#155430)

8. Ink--Garden Green, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand

9. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (Multipurpose Glue), Regular and Mini Dimensionals, Piercing Mat, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine

Start by doing all your stamping. Stamp both the 3 tree and the 2 tree groups in Garden Green on the Hippo and Friends die cut--each time stamp again once or twice without re-inking to get a whole stand of trees. Using Sahara Sand and the little wiggly ground lines, stamp randomly under the trees, both full strength and again without re-inking (we call this stamping off or second generation stamping). On a separate piece of Basic White scrap, stamp the deer and the bunny and fussy cut them out. Attach the deer and bunny to the scene using regular and mini Dimensionals.  Here's a close up of your scene:

Stamp your sentiment in Soft Suede on a piece of Basic White cut from the second to smallest Stitched So Sweetly die. Using the Garden Green again, stamp some trees inside your card as well as some snowflakes--notice I stamped them off too without re-inking. Use whatever other sentiment you'd like inside, depending on the card you decided to make. 

Take your 3 1/4" by 5 1/2" piece of Whisper White and emboss it with the snowflakes from Wintery 3D set and then glue it to the piece of Garden Green. Now glue that to the front of your folded card, centering it side to side. Add Dimensionals to the back of both die cuts and check where you want to place them before attaching them to the card. And you are done!
