Whimsy & Wonder Fun Fold
Before I start on the card, I want to remind everyone that if there is something you really want from the July-Dec Mini Catalog that you need to buy it soon. Starting 12/1 everything is while supplies last but a few products are on reduced price starting at that date. Email me at stampwithdrrobin@gmail.com if you want a list of what is carrying over to next year and what is on sale starting 12/1.
Let's get going on making our card. First gather your supplies:
1. Polished Pink cardstock. 5 1/4 by 5 1/2" scored at 1" along the 5 1/4" side, a scrap for under the sentiment
2. Basic White for the inside 4 by 5 1/4" and a scrap for the sentiment
3. Silver Foil (#156457) scrap for the ornaments
4. Whimsy & Wonder DSP cut 4 by 5 1/2"
5. Stamp set--Whimsical Trees (#156330 or 156810 for the bundle)
6. Dies--Christmas Trees (#156339 or bundle #156810), Stitched so Sweetly (#151690)
7. Ink--Mint Macaron
8. Ribbon--Blushing Bride 3/8" Frayed Grosgrain (#156341)
9. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (Multipurpose Glue and Mini Glue Dots), Regular Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine (mini or regular)
Fold along the score line on your card base. Attach the Whimsy & Wonder DSP by adhering glue to the inside of the little, 1" part of the Polished Pink card base, being careful not to put any glue from the fold to about 1/4" out. Lay the DSP on top of the larger part of the Polished Pink paper and then fold (and hold it for a bit) the 1" pink strip on top of the DSP. If this doesn't make sense, or you are a more visual learner, you might want to watch my video below from my Facebook Live. I do a live every Monday at 1 pm PST at Stamp with Dr Robin if you want to find me
Now let's stamp. Using the second to smallest die from the Stitched so Sweetly set (one of my all time favorite die sets), cut out the sentiment piece in Basic White. Stamp "Joy" in Mint Macaroon and attach it to a Polished Pink piece cut from the next largest die from the same set as below.
Now let's stamp the inside piece like below. The little bow on the bottom right was cut out of the DSP. Stamp the ornament stamp on your envelope. Attach the inside piece of Basic White to the main card base.
Now back to the front--attach your sentiment pieces with Dimensionals. Fussy cut an ornament from the DSP and attach it to the sentiment piece. Cut the baby ornaments out of Silver Foil and attach as many as you want to the outside and/or the inside of the card.
Now for the ribbon. Cut the ribbon in half lengthwise and wrap it around the card and tie a knot. Then using 2 pieces of the cut in half ribbon (stack them on top of each other) make a bow and attach it on top of the knot using several Mini Glue Dots. Such an easy but beautiful card.
