Dutch Door Daffodils

I thought we'd play with the daffodils again as the beautiful Daffodil Afternoon Sale-a-Bration paper is only available through the end of February, which, believe it or not, is only a week from today! So if you like the Daffodil Daydreams set as much as I do, then you need to get the matching paper if you don't have it already. And today I'm also showing you a new fold called a Dutch Door card which is not only fun, but easy. Let me know if you need any of these items or order yourself by copying this link or the one on the robin above left:  https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2161733. Email me questions at: stampwithdrrobin@gmail.com. Use my February host code:  FX3Q2CT7.

Gather your supplies to make this card.

1. Pear Pizazz cardstock 4 1/4 by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" . Another piece is cut from this
2. Basic White cardstock 2 1/4 by 4" for the front, another piece cut with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die
3. Mossy Meadow cardstock cut with the 2rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die
4. Daffodil Afternoon (#158127) FREE WITH A $50 ORDER cut 4 by 2 3/4"
5. Stamp Sets--Daffodil Daydreams (#157786 stamp set or #157795 bundle) and Calming Camelia (#158117) FREE with a $300 order
6. Dies--Stitched Rectangles (#1151820)
7. Ink-- Memento Tuxedo Black and Pear Pizazz
8. Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (#151326)
9. Bumblebee Trinkets (#155568)
10. Blends--Mossy Meadow (light and dark), Dark Petal Pink, Dark Flirty Flamingo, Color Lifter
11. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (Multipurpose Glue), Regular Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Glue Dots

Start by folding your Pear Pizazz cardstock in half. Then cut off 2 1/2" off the top of the front--cut down along the fold 2 1/2" and then over to the opening (4 1/4"). Save that piece of Pear Pizazz for the front piece. Attach the Daffodil Afternoon DSP to the front of the card.

Time for stamping. Stamp the smaller Daffodil on the 2 1/4 by 4" piece of Basic White using Memento Ink. Stamp the dots on the bottom with Pear Pizazz then stamp again without re-inking. Color the daffodil with your Blends as below. Attach this piece to your leftover piece of Pear Pizazz that you cut from the front of card base.

Using Pear Pizazz ink the the sentiment from Calming Camelia, stamp on the Basic White piece cut with your Stitched Rectangle dies. Stamp the dots on the bottom as you did on the front piece. Attach to the Mossy Meadow piece and then to the inside of your card as below.

Now back to the front of your card.  Color a piece of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon with your Dark Daffodil Blend then tie it around your daffodil piece and make a bow. Attach just the bottom of your daffodil piece to the front with Dimensionals, making sure it covers your sentiment. Attach a Bumblebee Trinket with a glue dot. Don't forget to make your envelope pretty by stamping another daffodil and coloring it in as below.
