Simply Marbelous Calming Camelia

Since today (2/28/22) is the last day of Sale-A-Bration, I though I'd Sale-A-Brate by highlighting some of my favorite FREE things from this catalog. One would be the Simply Marbelous paper, which I've added some color to here, and the other is the Calming Camelia stamp set. I've so enjoyed using both of these over the past 2 months--I think I've gone through 2 packs of Simply Marbelous paper! This is a fairly easy card, but if you get stuck (or you are a more visual person) please watch my video below.

Gather your supplies to make this card.

1. Highland Heather cardstock 4 1/4 by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4"
2. Basic White cardstock 3 3/4 by 5" for the inside and another piece die cut with the Scalloped Contours dies, the second largest rectangle
3. Simply Marbelous purple DSP (#158128) FREE WITH A $50 ORDER cut 4 by 5 1/4"
4. Stamp Sets-- Calming Camellia (#158117) FREE with a $300 order
5. Dies--Scalloped Contours  (#155560)
6. Ink-- Misty Moonlight and Highland Heather
7. Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon (#155615)
8. Heart and Home Doilies (#157956)
9. Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels (#158130)
10. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (Multipurpose Glue), Regular Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Glue Dots, Blending Brushes

Let's make this card! Start by using your Blending Brushes and the Misty Moonlight ink to add some color to the Simply Marbelous paper. Be sure to let some of the purple colors show! Fold your card base in half and adhere this piece to the front--I like to use our Multipurpose Glue as it is so forgiving.

Now for the stamping. Using Misty Moonlight ink, stamp the large camellia stamp onto the Scalloped Contours die that you already cut out (or stamp first then cut if you prefer). Then using a blending brush or a sponge dauber, add some Highland Heather ink to your flowers--don't worry about coloring outside the lines as it will look fine.

Stamp the leaf stamp in Misty Moonlight on the inside Basic White piece then glue it to the inside of your card. Stamp the leaf also on your envelope like below. If you want to add a sentiment to the inside, do it before gluing it down.

Cut one of the Misty Moonlight Doilies in half and glue it to the card then add your stamped camellia on top using Dimensionals. Tie a bow with the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and stick it on with a Glue Dot. Use 3 Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels in the center of your flowers and you are done.
