Lights Aglow Christmas Card

I know it is probably hot where you are, but I also know that some of you like to get started early on your holiday cards, so I thought I would help out! I couldn't wait to work with this suite, especially because my upline and friend, Peggy Noe and I are having a Christmas in July retreat on 7/23 from 11:30-3:00ish and are using the Lights Aglow suite for our afternoon of play. This will also be available as a class to go if you want it mailed to you--please email me at stampwithdrrobin.blogspot.com for more information.

Let's make this gorgeous, sparkly card. First, gather your supplies.

1. Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes--FREE in July and August with a $50 purchase
2. Silver & Gold 6 x 6" Specialty Paper-- FREE in July and August with a $50 purchase, cut 3 by 5 1/2"
3. Glimmer 12 x 12" Specialty Paper--cut a tree and 2 pieces 1/2 by 5 1/2"
4. Parakeet Party --for tree and inside sentiment
5. Stamp Set--Christmas Lights (#159538 or the bundle #159961), Brightest Glow (#159542 or the bundle #159552)
6. Dies-- Twinkling Lights (#159541) and Labels Aglow (#159551)
7. Ribbon--Gold & Vanilla 3/8" Satin-Edged Ribbon (#159555)
8. Red & Green Adhesive Backed Pearls (#159963)
9. Ink--Sweet Sorbet, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Seafoam, Parakeet Party
10. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue), Regular Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Blending Brushes, Stampin' Seal Plus

Using your Blending Brushes, and the Gold Polka Dot Specialty Paper, start at the top with the Soft Seafoam ink and blend about 1/4 of the way down. Then use the Parakeet Party ink, then Sweet Sorbet, then Flirty Flamingo ink, blending as you go down. Glue the 1/2" strips of Gold Glimmer paper to the back of this DSP, letting about half of the Glimmer paper show, then glue this to the folded Soft Sea Foam card.

Cut the tree, with the insert with the holes and the outline, from Parakeet Party and also die cut the wide label from the Labels Aglow. Die cut the tree (use just the outline) and the star topper from the Gold Glimmer paper. Glue the Parakeet Party tree to the Gold Glimmer paper (glue definitely works best), offsetting them a bit like below. Glue the Gold Glimmer star to the top of the tree. Run a strip of Stampin' Seal Plus on the card front where your tree will cover and zig-zag the Gold & Vanilla 3/8" Satin-Edged Ribbon as below and attach your tree with Dimensionals.

For the inside, use Sweet Sorbet ink to stamp a sentiment on the Parakeet Party label and attach with adhesive. Using the same ink, stamp a few snowflakes to the bottom, or all around if you prefer.
No need to decorate an envelope as they are already decorated!
