Wonderful World Step Card

If you haven't seen the Wonderful World Sale-a-Bration stamp set and Designer Series Paper, you are in for a big wow! The paper is beyond beautiful--the only problem is that you can't just order more paper as the DSP comes together with the Wonderful World stamp set and can only be earned until the end of August by making a $100 order. It is so fun to combine different papers to make the new (to me anyways) step card. I highly suggest you  go over to my Facebook Live from 8/21 or my YouTube channel (both are Stamp with Dr Robin) and craft along with me as it will be difficult for me to describe how to make this fancy fold.

Let's make this card. First, gather your supplies.

1. Thick Basic White--Card base 5 1/2 by 8 1/2"
2. Wonderful World Designer Series Paper (DSP FREE with $100 order during Sale a Bration and you get the stamp set also)--purple ones are two cut 3/4 by 3" and one cut 3/4 by 5 1/4". Little flowers are cut 3 1/4 wide by 3 1/8". Fussy cut (hand cut) out one of the large flowers
3. Stamp Set-- Wonderful World (FREE with $100 order during Sale a Bration and you get the DSP also)
4. Orchid Oasis twine from the 2022-24 In Color Baker's Twine Pack (#159195)
5. Pastel Pearls (3154571)
6. Ink--Orchid Oasis
7. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue), Regular and Mini  Dimensionals, Stampin' Up Trimmer

You must have a Stampin' Up trimmer (or one like it) to make this card. Start by cutting from 3 1/4 to 7 1/2" one inch from each of the long side. Should look like the picture on the left. Now use your scoring blade to score from the cut line to the edge of the card (both to the right and the left of the cut line) at 3 1/4, 6 1/2 and 7 1/2". Now score BETWEEN the score lines (so from 1 to 4 1/2") at 4 1/4" --this will be at the center of your card where you usually score but you are only scoring between the cut lines.

Now fold along this last (4 1/4") score line between the cut line making sure the bottom edges are even. Now fold the small scored lines--the one at the top below folds down, the one at 6 1/2" folds out and the one at 7 1/2 folds back also like below. Your card should now lay flat.

Time to make it pretty. Add the 3/4 by 3" purple strips to the sides and the longer one along the bottom front. Glue the small flowered one as below--leave the same border around all of them. Now use one of the pretty big flowers that you fussy cut from the paper and pop it up on Dimensionals. Add 3 of the darker purple Pastel Pearls and a double bow made from the Orchid Oasis twine. You can use some Orchid Oasis ink to stamp one of the flowers inside and on your envelope. You can even add some Wink of Stella to the flowers as I did, but it doesn't show up on the pictures.

Here is another view of the card standing up. Come back to my blog tomorrow to see pictures of some more cards I made using this fold and the Wonderful World DSP.

I know I always have to watch cards like this being made a few times, so here is the link to my video on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/102609391488106/videos/6166239253390223

Please let me know if you want to place a $100 order with me so you can get this lovely paper for yourself. Just click on the Robin in the upper left and you will be taken to my store.
