Apple Harvest Rosh Hashanah Card Fall is upon us, and Sunday evening 9/25 started the first night of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. The custom on Rosh Hashanah is to eat apples dipped in honey for a sweet new year, so I thought the Apple Harvest bundle would be the perfect one to use for this card. Of course you could also use this card for a birthday card, or for many other reasons. At this point, Stampin' Up doesn't have any Jewish holiday sentiments, but the first stamp set I ever bought from them in 2003 had many Jewish sentiments in it. If you need it, you could also type "Happy Rosh Hashanah" and run it off on card stock. Only through 9/30, you can buy the matching dies, Apple Blossom dies! Let's make a card! Gather your supplies: 1. Sweet Sorbet--Card base 5 1/2 by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded in half along the score line. 2.Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper (#159244) cut2 3/4 by 5 1/4" 3. Warm Welcome The Warm Welcome bundle is a sneak peak from the Jan-June Mini Catalog, but you can buy it now as we will be using it on World Cardmaking Day on October 1st from 1-4 pm (PST). This event is a free on-line event sponsored by Stampin' Up. Please register it by going to this web site:  https://forms.monday.com/forms/a6e8a082e77e7f95b21439e18a0b04e5?r=use1 We will also be using the Cottage Rose and Cottage Wreath sets, but you can use whatever sets you'd like if you don't have these. And right now if you order any of these bundles you get a set of Iridescent Pearls for free. And I love free! This set is so cute as you can make the door open into an outside or inside scene, or just stamp something inside the door. And it is so fun to decorate the scene around the door too. The stamp set comes with loads of cute sentiments that fit into 2 sentiment dies, or the small rectangle die you can use as a doormat too.  Let's make this card. First, gather your supplies.  ...

Halloween Cottage Wreath Like most of you across the Northern Hemisphere, it is still hot here in San Diego, but my thoughts are turning to fall. Even though fall in Southern California isn't like it is in other places, we still like to pretend that it is and get out our fall decorations and pick up the leaves from the few trees that we have that change colors--we have a couple of lovely Japanese maples and liquidambar trees in our yard that do the trick for us. So I thought today I'd make a cute Halloween card to use my new Cottage Wreath bundle that I just bought--don't tell my adult kids they are going to get these for Halloween! The Cottage Wreath bundle is one of three bundles that Stampin' Up is planning on using for World Cardmaking Day on 10/1/22. The other two are Cottage Rose (from the 2022-23 Annual Catalog) and Warm Welcome which is a preview from the Jan-June 2023 catalog. I have mine on order now, so I will share soon. This event should be fun--it is on ...
