WCMD Apple Harvest Rosh Hashanah Card

For WCMD I was asked to be a presenter on a world-wide on-line event organized by The Crafty Medic. I was asked to share my Judaism and made a Rosh Hashanah card using the Apple Harvest stamp set. You can see everyone's videos and cards here: https://www.facebook.com/events/448727080041301. Click "discussion" if you don't see the individual posts. Directions

Start by stamping the apples on one of the Basic White Scalloped white pieces using Soft Suede ink. Stamp off first before stamping on the white. Color the image—I used both Sweet Sorbets on the apple then my color lifter to create the lighter spot on the large apple. I used both Parakeet Party blends on the leaves and both Crumb Cake ones on the branch. I also used the dark Crumb Cake to color in the apple seeds and outlined the inside of the cut apple with the light Crumb Cake. I used the light Sweet Sorbet on the flowers. Then I outlined the whole image with my light Pool Party and used the Color Lifter to soften the edges of the line.

For the inside Basic White piece, using Soft Suede, stamp the inside sentiment from Perched in a Tree as well as the flower from Apple Harvest (stamped off). Color the center of the flower using the light Sweet Sorbet blend.

Use the background stamp from Apple Harvest and Parakeet Party Ink, stamp off each time between use and stamp several times over the sentiment.

Now let’s put the card together. Fold the card base in half, then fold the front back on itself.

Glue the smaller piece of DSP to the front and the larger one to the inside.

Attach the front apple piece using Dimensionals but remember to just put them on the top of that piece or you will glue your card together.

Put glue (or Stampin’ Seal) on the back of your inside piece and hold it under the front apple piece, lining them up and holding them together attach the inside piece to your card.

Stamp the “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” sentiment from the Kindest Gnomes set on to a scrap of Basic White and cut it out by hand, flagging the right side. Attach to your card using Mini Dimensionals.

Scatter 3 of the Matte Dots around the front.

Color your apples with Wink of Stella. And you are done! For Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) we say “L’Shanah Tovah” or “to a good year”.
