Framed Florets Birthday Card

So today is my favorite (and only) daughter's birthday, so I was in the mood to make a birthday card. I was also in the mood to break out my newest bundle, Framed Florets. If this bundle doesn't look familiar to you, it is because it will be in the upcoming Jan-June 2023 Mini Catalog. You can order it today as a demonstrator, or on a new demonstrator order, or you can wait until November 1st and order it yourself. If you'd like to order it, click on one of the Robin's in the upper left, or copy and  click https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2161733

Let's make a card! Gather your supplies:
1. Thick Basic White cardstock--Card base 5 1/2 by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded in half along the score line. Cut another piece using the smallest Floret oval and use the center oval only
2. Merry Merlot cardstock cut 4 by 5 1/4"
3.Fitting Florets DSP (#161814)-fussy cut one of the groups of flowers (See below)
4. Distressed Gold DSP (#159237)--die cut one of the large leaf
5. Glimmer Specialty Paper (#159537)--die cut one of the large leaf from the Very Vanilla Glimmer Paper
6. Stamp Set--Framed Florets (#161815 or bundle #162407)
7. Dies--Framed Florets (#160623 or #162407 if in the bundle)
8. Ink--Versamark and Merry Merlot
9. Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls (#161822)
10. Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (#154317)
11. Embossing Supplies--Versamark ink, Embossing Buddy, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool
12. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue), Mini and Regular Dimensionals, Piercing Mat, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Take Your Pick Tool, Blender Pen

Start by embossing the sentiment in gold on the Basic White oval. Stamp the sentiment near the top to leave room for the flowers. Make sure to wipe with your embossing buddy before you stamp in Versamark ink. Add Gold Embossing Powder and tap off the excess then heat with your heat tool and watch the powder melt. Magic!

With Merry Merlot ink, stamp a sentiment inside your card. Now let's fussy cut one of the flower bunches from the beautiful  Fitting Florets DSP. Notice  that the bunch I used started as a Blushing Bride flower--I used my Blender Pen to color it Merry Merlot! For help on how to do that, watch my Facebook Live below. Then join me every Monday at 1 pm PST and make a new card every week.

Here's what this bunch of flowers looked like before I cut it out and colored in that Blushing Bride flower:

Now take your piece of Merry Merlot cardstock and use the die with the tiny hearts to cut out this beautiful oval. Then run the cardstock through your Cut and Emboss machine again in the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. Attach that to the card base. Then attach the sentiment oval in the center. Attach the 2 cut leaves using Liquid Glue and the bunch of flowers with Dimensionals. Scatter a few of the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls and you are done!
