Starry Sky Birthday Wreath

I know I've been using the Cottage Wreath bundle a lot lately, but it is just so versatile that I can't put it down. Today I decided to make a birthday card with it and use the In Color Starry Sky as I haven't really used that color much so far, and boy does the color make a statement! I paired it with the In Color 6 by 6" Designer Series Paper as well as the Glimmer paper for a monochromatic look.

If you need help with making this card, please watch my Facebook Live below or watch on my YouTube channel (at Stamp with Dr Robin) and don't forget to subscribe. Let's make a card! Gather your supplies:
1. Stary Sky cardstock--Card base 5 1/2 by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded in half along the score line. Also a scrap for the bow and the backing to the sentiment.
2. 2022-24 In Color 6 by 6" Designer Series paper (#159253) cut 3 by 5 1/4" (or 5 1/2" as I did on the video)
3. Basic White Cardstock for the inside 3 3/4 by 5", a piece 4 by 5 1/4 (or 5 1/2" on the video), a 3 by 3" piece for the wreath, and a scrap for the sentiment
4. 2022-24 In Color 6 by 6" Glimmer Paper
5. Vellum-- a piece about 3 by 3" for the wreath
6. Stamp Set--Cottage Wreath (#159652 or #159659 for the bundle), Pansy Patch (#154999)
7. Dies--Basic Borders (#155558), Country Wreaths (#160238 or  #159659 for the bundle)
8. Punch--Double Oval (#154242)
9. Ink--Starry Sky
10. Classic Matte Dots (#158146)
11. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue), Mini and Regular Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine

Start by making your wreath--using the smaller of the 2 detailed wreath dies, cut out the Starry Sky Glimmer paper. Using the larger detailed wreath dies, cut a wreath of vellum and Basic White. Glue them together putting the white on the bottom, the wreath in the middle and the glimmer paper on top--try to off-set them a bit so you can see them all. Just use a small amount of glue along the center line, leaving the leaves free so you can fluff them up a bit. Add the Starry Sky bow using 2 Mini Dimensionals. It should look like this:

Use the zig-zag Basic Border to cut both long sides of the bigger piece of Basic White (see some hints for this on the video below). Attach the DSP to the center of this piece.

Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White and punch it out with the small oval. Punch out the larger oval with a scrap of Starry Sky and glue them together. Stamp a wreath with Starry Sky ink on the inside--I stamped it once full strength then rotated it and stamped again. Also stamp your envelope the same way.

Let's put it all together now. Fold the card base in half along the score line. Attach the white and DSP piece to the center with Multipurpose Glue and attach the wreath the same way. Use Dimensionals to attach the sentiment piece and attach the inside piece too. Scatter a few of the White Classic Matte Dots--I used a bit one for the center of the bow and a couple of little ones. You could also put some little ones on the wreath itself. Here's another view of the finished card. This card would look beautiful in any of the 2022-24 In Colors--try them all!
