Cards That Show off Both Sides of Your DSP

Part 2

Stampin' Up has some of the most beautiful paper in the world. Sometimes it is hard to decide which side to use, but this card, and the one I uploaded yesterday, show off BOTH sides of the Fitting Florets DSP that is on sale to customers starting today 11/1/22. The Fitting Florets stamp set and dies will be in the next mini catalog so this is an early release, but the DSP, as well as the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirl embellishments and the coordinating Christmas stamp set, Framed and Festive, are only while supplies last, so don't wait to order. I plan to order another package of this DSP.

If you are a visual learner, you might want to watch my Facebook Live linked below, or watch on my YouTube channel, Stamp with Dr Robin. Don't forget to hit the "Subscribe" button so you are notified of new videos.

Let's make a card! Gather your supplies:
1. Evening Evergreen cardstock--Card base starts as the usual 5 1/2 by 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". Then cut off all but 1" of the front, so cut on the long side at 5 1/4"
2. Basic White cardstock--Die cut the smallest Floret oval and use just the center, also a piece 3 3/4 by 5" for the inside
3. Balmy Blue--Die cut the largestest Floret oval and use just the outside frame. If you made the card yesterday you used the center of this oval
4.Fitting Florets DSP (#161814)--4 by 5 1/2"
5. Stamp Set--Framed Florets (#161815 or bundle #162407)
6. Dies--Framed Florets (#160623 or #162407 if in the bundle)
7. Ink--Evening Evergreen
8. Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon (#158135)
9. Solid Faceted Gems (#159189)
9. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue), Mini and Regular Dimensionals, Piercing Mat, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Take Your Pick Tool, Silicone mat and a piece of sponge or Sponge Dauber

Fold your card base along the score line. Line up your DSP piece with the top/bottom and right sides of the card back. Now fold open the 1" front Evening Evergreen and place some Multipurpose Glue, or your adhesive of choice, along the inside. Make sure to leave a 1/4" margin from the fold line. Now fold it down over the DSP--hold it for a few seconds to make sure it is well-attached.

Stamp your sentiment on the Basic White oval using Evening Evergreen ink.

Attach the Balmy Blue frame to the front first. I put some glue on my Silicone mat and used a piece of sponge (or you can use a Sponge Dauber dedicated to the glue) to apply some glue to attach it. You could also use the double sided Adhesive Sheets--you attach them before die cutting and it makes it much easier to glue down intricate dies. Too bad I forgot to use them today! Now attach your Basic White oval using Dimensionals.

Tie a piece of Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon around the front. Adhere one large and one small Balmy Blue Solid Faceted Gems as below:

Attach the Basic White inside piece--you could also stamp a flower or something else on this before attaching it. Notice how the ribbon covers the seam inside.
