Something Fancy

Before I get to making this card, I want to announce that I am selling Mystery Boxes of retired Stampin' Up product. These are a medium sized USPS Priority Mail box and they will be stuffed with product. Each box will include a minimum of 10 Stampin' Up stamps and at least 2 of them will be a bundle with either a die set or a punch. They will all have at least one retired embossing folder as well as embellishments and ribbon. You won't know what you are getting, so if you like surprises and getting over $250 worth of products for only $50, please email me at stampwithdrrobin@gmail.com.

If you don't recognize this Designer Series Paper or the sentiment and dies, it is because this is a sneak peak at the Something Fancy bundle from the upcoming Jan-April Mini Catalog that goes live next month. As a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I am able to order from the catalog early. I just had to show you this beautiful set, as well as the Fancy Flora 6" by 6" DSP that comes in a variety of colors and look like they are paintings that can jump off the page. There is another floral stamp set that is part of this suite that I didn't buy yet, but there is always next order! If you want more help with making this card, watch my Facebook Live video below or go over to my YouTube channel (Stamp with Dr Robin also).

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:
1. Evening Evergreen cardstock--Card base 5 1/2 by 7 1/4" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded along the score line. A scrap for the sentiment backing
2. Soft Succulent cardstock 2 7/8 by 5 3/8"
3. Fancy Flora DSP--2 3/4 by 5 1/4"
4. Basic White cardstock--2 7/8 by 5 3/8" for the inside and a scrap for the sentiment
5. Brushstroke DSP (in the Annual Catalog)-- 1 1/4 by 5 3/8"
6. Stamp Set--Something Fancy (#160416 or 160414 for the bundle)
7. Dies--Something Fancy (#160425 or 160414 if in the bundle)
8. Ink--Soft Succulent
9. Open Weave Ribbon in Soft Succulent (#153780)
10. Iridescent Pastel Gems (#160429)
11. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue),  Regular Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Tear 'N Tape.

Start by folding your Evening Evergreen card base along the fold. Glue the Fancy Flora DSP to the Soft Succulent cardstock and then to the front of the card. Glue the 1 1/4" piece of Brushstroke to the inside right side of the card, leaving a tiny margin around the 3 sides. Adhere the Basic White inside piece either up next to it, or you can leave a little border between them. I left my inside blank, but you could stamp something on it if you'd like.

Using Soft Succulent ink, stamp a sentiment on the beautiful Something Fancy Basic White die cut. Now glue that to the larger Evening Evergreen die cut. Put a piece of Tear 'N Tape horizontally on the card front to hold the ribbon wave, under where it will be covered by the sentiment piece. Zig-zag the Open Weave ribbon over the Tear 'N Tape to hold it in place. Stick the sentiment piece on to the card with Dimensionals, watching not to put one all the way to the right so as not to stick it to the inside piece (ask me how I know not to do this). Add a couple of the Iridescent Pastel Gems and you are done! Here's a close up of the front:

And another picture of the whole card. Hope you enjoyed this easy card. Please email me at stampwithdrrobin@gmail.com if you have questions, or need a catalog. And check out my Facebook Live below if you need more help.
