Adorable Owls Love to Wobble

Aren't these owls just too stinkin' cute? And the best thing is that you can get the stamp set FREE with a $50 purchase of any Stampin' Up product through the end of February. The paper I used (Dandy Designs) is also a FREE Sale a Bration item when you spend $100 through the end of February. But don't wait too long as these products do sell out. The thing you can't see in this photo is that behind the owl is a "Wobble" that makes that piece move when touched. If you look to the left of the photo, you can see what the Wobble looks like. You can find them on Amazon using this link: https://www.amazon.com/Hampton-Art-Mini-Action-Wobbles/dp/B01GUG2CW6/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1O668NODFJ48F&keywords=wobbles&qid=1674529371&sprefix=wobbles%2Caps%2C1117&sr=8-4

When you watch my Facebook video below from 1/223/23 over on Stamp with Dr Robin, you can see how much fun the Wobble-cards really are. And please come back on Thursday and see more cards I made using the Adorable Owls stamp set.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:
1. Fresh Freesia cardstock--Card base 5 1/2 by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at  4 1/4" and folded along the score line. A second piece 1/2" by 4", and a 3rd piece die cut using a Stylish Shape die.
2. Basic White cardstock 3 3/4 by 5" for the inside and another piece die cut with the second largest Layering Circles die
3. Dandy Designs DSP  (#160836)--2 pieces each 2 3/4 by 4". A small scrap for the heart.
4. Calypso Coral cardstock cut with the second largest scalloped Layering Circles die
5. Punch--Country Bouquet Punch (#160382 or #160383 for the bundle)
6. Stamp Set--Adorable Owls (#160269) and Country Bouquet (#160377 or #160383 for the bundle)
7. Dies--Layering Circles (#151770) and Stylish Shapes (#159183)
8. Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#151193)
9. Ink--Calypso Coral, Memento Tuxedo Black
10. Wobbles--see link above
11. Blends/Markers--Dark and Light Fresh Freesia, Dark and Light Smokey Slate, Dark Pale Papaya, Dark Calypso Coral and a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
12. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue),  Regular and Mini  Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Paper Trimmer, Piercing Mat

Let's start with doing some stamping and coloring. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the owl on the Basic White circle. Color the owl using your Blends--the body using Dark and Light Fresh Freesia and the tummy and part around the eyes using Dark Pale Papaya. I used Dark Calypso Coral to color his beak and feet and the Light Smokey Slate for the eyes and the bows and the Dark Smokey Slate for the center of the bow. Attach the owl to the scalloped layering circle.

Using the Country Bouquet Punch, punch the small heart from one of the Dandy Designs DSP. Attach it to the circle using a Mini Dimensional. Using the fine tip of your Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, draw a line from the heart to the owl's hand to make it look like a heart balloon--isn't that cute?

For the inside, stamp the sentiment from Country Bouquet as well as some hearts from the same stamp set using Calypso Coral ink. Attach this to the inside of the card.

Now let's put the rest of the card together. Attach the 2 pieces of Dandy Designs DSP--note they will need to overlap to fit the card front. The 1/2" piece of Fresh Freesia can cover where the DSP meets. Now attach the owl with a Wobble (they have a piece of paper on each side that when removed is sticky)--if you don't have one, then just use Dimensionals.

Stamp the front sentiment on a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock cut with one of the Stylish Shapes dies and attach with Dimensionals. Scatter 3 of the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the card. I'm going to use this as a Valentine's Day card, but you could easily use it as a birthday card also.
