Favored Flowers Fancy Fold

Let's start by saying the title of this blog post 10 times quickly--I bet you can't do it! I know I can't but I love the alliteration of it. And I love the FREE Sale-a-Bration Favored Flowers Designer Series paper--it is actually my favorite DSP in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. It may be because I love, love, love Blackberry Bliss--I bought 2 packages of the cardstock when it retired as an In-Color and was so excited when it came back as a regular, Regal color. And I also love the new fold I've recently learned on the left that I demonstrated on my Facebook live on 2/13/23 so you can watch it below.

And if you come back on Wednesday 2/15, I will post some more cards made from this gorgeous DSP. Here's an up-close picture of the card we are going to learn to make here. In my video, I talk about making the front of the other card too.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:
1. Blackberry Bliss cardstock--Card base 5 1/2 by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at  4 1/4" and folded along the score line.
2. Fresh Freesia cardstock cut 3 by 8", scored at 4" and folded along the score line. Die cut a second piece using the smallest of the rectangle die from Something Fancy.
3. Basic White cardstock --2 pieces cut 3 3/4 by 2 3/4", one for the inside and one for the outside
4. Favored Flowers DSP (#160833)--FREE with a $50 purchase by the end of February. The outside (flowered) DSP cut 3 3/4 by 5" and the inside piece 4 by 5 1/4". Scraps for cutting the flowers on the top layer
5. Punch--Bough Punch (#157711 in the Annual Catalog)
6. Stamp Set--Something Fancy (#160416 or #160425 as a bundle)
7. Dies--Something Fancy (#160424 or #160425 as a bundle)
8. Pastel Pearls (#154571) or Iridescent Rhinestones or Opaque Adhesive-Backed gems would work also
9. Ink--Blackberry Bliss
10. Embossing Folder--Cane Weave 3D (#160580)
11. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue),  Regular Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Paper Trimmer, Piercing Mat, Take Your Pick tool

Start by cutting your Blackberry Bliss card base front--use your trimmer to cut from the upper left fold diagonally to the bottom right corner. Then cut the flower DSP diagonally the same and attach it to the front of your card. Attach the darker 4 by 5 1/4" piece to the inside of your card.

Fold the piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock in half along the fold line and attach the back of it to the inside of your card--try to center it on your DSP, but make sure it still will close over the front well. This is where using Multipurpose Glue comes in handy as you can wiggle it into place!

You will notice that I cut the sentiment I used in half--yes you can do that! It makes a great outside and inside sentiment that way and you can always mount them together on a block and use it as it was made. Stamp the second part of the sentiment on one of the Basic White pieces and attach to the inside of the Fresh Freesia cardstock as below.

Now lets work on the front, Basic White panel. First, run it through your Die Cutting and Embossing Machine using the Cane Weave Embossing Folder. Then cut 2 flowers from the edges of the DSP and attach them to the top and bottom of the Basic White panel. Stamp the first half of the sentiment on the Something Fancy die and attach with 2 Dimensionals. Punch 3 sprigs from the DSP (I used the piece you see in the background of my pictures). Slide 2 sprigs under the sentiment piece and attach the third to the inside as above.

Stick 3 Pastel Pearls on the front and you are done. If you don't understand any of the directions, please watch my video below. On my Facebook Live I showed the main front of this card and how I just used a bunch of the edge pieces all around on top of the Cane Weave embossed white. Here's the card I made out of it:
