Wild & Sweet

Sorry I'm late getting these directions up on my blog, but we are having some construction done on our house and it is quite chaotic around here. I've had the Wild & Sweet as well as Bamboo Beauty stamp sets for a while and this is the first time I've used them--they pair so well together, both the images and the sentiments seem like they were made for each other.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Soft Succulent cardstock--Card base 4 1/4 by 11" scored on the long side at  2 3/4" from each end and folded along the score lines.
2. Basic White cardstock --3 3/4 by 5" for the inside and one cut with the second largest Scalloped Contour die
3. Delicate Desert DSP (#160521)--2 pieces from different sheets, each cut 2 1/2 by 4"
4. Dies--Scalloped Contours
5. Stamp Set--Wild & Sweet (#158775) and Bamboo Beauty (#155478)
6. Ribbon--Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon (#155780)
7. 2021-23 In Color Opal Rounds (#159185)
8. Ink--Early Espresso, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen
9. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue),  Regular Dimensionals, Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, Paper Trimmer, Piercing Mat, Take Your Pick tool, Blender Pens, Mini Glue Dots

Start by folding your card base in along the 2 score lines so the edges meet in the middle. Attach the Delicate Desert DSP to the front of each side--don't you just love how the "back side" of the DSP give you a totally different feel than the front side?

Time to stamp our adorable koala in Early Espresso on to Scalloped Contours die cut. Then taking your Blender Pen while it's still drying and move the ink around to color him in. Wipe the Blender Pen on your scratch paper to get the ink off, and then use the Evening Evergreen or Soft Succulent ink to color in the leaves. Watch my Facebook live below or the video on my YouTube channel (also Stamp with Dr Robin) to get some tips on using the Blender Pens.

I used the larger bamboo stamp from Bamboo Beauty to stamp some leaves in the corners. I decided it looked best in stamped off Soft Succulent (that means stamp it on your scratch paper then on to your card without re-inking, getting a lighter look).

For the inside, I used Soft Succulent ink and a sentiment from Bamboo Beauty. I also stamped the leaves again in the lower corner, once full strength and once again without re-inking. Attach the inside as below.

Now put the card together. Attach the koala piece with Dimensionals ONLY ON THE TOP HALF or you will not be able to open the card. Add 1 large and 2 small Soft Succulent 2021-23 In Color Opal Rounds. Take a small piece of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and tie a loose knot, cut the ends on the diagonal and attach to your card with a Mini Glue Dot and you are done!
