One Horse Open Sleigh Fancy Fold

If you haven't been on stampinup.com to check out the new Online Exclusives then you've been missing out on seeing this wonderful Designer Series Paper called One Horse Open Sleigh. It is so beautiful and serene, so I thought it would make a beautiful sympathy card and unfortunately I have needed several of them lately.

Also while you are on the site, check out the new all-inclusive kits (that you can only see online) and the other online exclusives. They have already run out of the Trucking Along stamp set but you can still order it by coming to (or doing it at home) our Super Summer Retreat. We only have 3 of the retreat bundles left so please email me at stampwithdrrobin@gmail.com if you are interested. The cost is $65 for the in-person class and $10 more for the at home class.

The retreat includes:
  •     The brand new Trucking Along Bundle (stamp set and punch)
  •     All cardstock and other supplies prepared for you to create 6 adorable cards and one 3D project
  •     Full package of Festive Pearls Embellishments
  •     One-half package of the new One Horse Open Sleigh 6" x 6" DSP
  •     6 envelopes
  •     4 step-by-step PDF Tutorials, one for each card design and one for the 3D project
Also I'd like to share with you the Patriotic 12" by 12" sampler class I had recently. As I was asked by one of you, I've created a PDF tutorial for this. If you'd like to purchase it for $20, please let me know.

Let's get back to it and make this card!
1. Misty Moonlight cardstock -Card base 5 1/2" by 11" scored on the long side at 1 3/4". 4 3/8" and 7"  and accordion folded along the score lines.
2. Basic White cardstock--3" by 5 1/4" for the inside, and a scrap piece to punch the sentiment
3. Boho Blue cardstock--Punch with Decorative Circle
4. One Horse Open Sleigh DSP--see how to cut below
5. Stamp Sets--Something Fancy, Sentimental Park
6. Punches--2" Circle and Decorative Circle
7. Ink--Early Espresso
8.Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems
9. Basic supplies--bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool

Start by cutting your piece of One Horse Open Sleigh DSP--I cut it this way to maximize being able to see the beautiful scenery. Cut 3/4" off the right side of the 6" by 6" piece. Now cut 1/2" off the top of the paper. Then cut three 1 1/2" pieces horizontally starting at what is now the top of this piece. If this is confusing, or you are a visual learner, please watch my Facebook Live below, or my YouTube video on Stamp with Dr Robin (and please subscribe while you are there). Now attach the top 1 1/2" strip to the bottom of the top flap, leaving a small margin of Misty Moonlight showing. Attach the second piece as you see below against the bottom of the second flap and same placement for the third strip.

Now take your 3" by 5 1/4" piece of Basic White and stamp the sentiment from Something Fancy in Early Espresso ink. Attach that to the inside of the bottom flap like this:

Now for the front sentiment. Punch a 2" circle in Basic White. First stamp "thinking of" and then the "YOU" separately as it fits best with the "U" around the "g" in thinking and you can't do that if you put them on the same block. Both stamps came from Sentimental Park set. Attach this to the Boho Blue Decorative Circle. Attach only the top half of the circles to the top flap using Dimensionals.

Scatter 3 of the Boho Blue Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems around your card and you are done!

Below is my Facebook Live from 7/10/23 where I make this card and show you some tips to help with the cardmaking.
