Christmas Polar Bears


I had a wonderful gathering this weekend with my Annual Holiday Card Buffet where people made as many holiday cards as they wanted to and were able to choose from almost 20 different cards. This was one of the cards we made this weekend and I thought it was so adorable that you all would want to see it. Let's make this card! Gather your supplies

1.      1.Beary Christmas Memories & More Cards & Envelopes

2.      2. Beary Christmas DSP—3 ¾” by 5 ¾”

3.      3. Basic White cardstock—1 piece 3 by 4 ¼”, scrap for the scarf

4.      4. Balmy Blue cardstock cut with the middle Something Fancy die

5.      5. Ink—Memento Black, Real Red, Balmy Blue

6.      6. Stamp sets—Beary Cute, inside sentiment from Brightest Glow

7.      7. Dies--Something Fancy

         8. Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels (retired) or use regular rhinestones colored with a Real Red blend or marker

8.     9.  Light Balmy Blue Blend

 10. Basic supplies--paper snips, bone folder, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue), regular Dimensionals, Piercing Mat, Emboss/die cutting machine, Take Your Pick Tool

Place the 2 bear stamps on one E block and stamp them using Memento Black on the 3 by 4 ¼” piece of Basic White. Using Balmy Blue ink stamp the small snowflakes around the bears. Outline the bears with the Light Balmy Blue Blend.

Using Real Red ink, stamp the sentiment on the Balmy Blue piece. Stamp the scarf on the Basic White scrap and fussy cut it out. Attach the scarf to the big bear.

Attach the Beary Christmas DSP piece with the presents to the front of the folded Beary Christmas Memories & More Card base, then attach your bears. Attach the sentiment piece with Dimensionals. Scatter 3 of the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels around on your card.


Using Real Red ink, stamp the inside sentiment and a scarf. If you make a mistake, stamp again on a scrap of Basic White and cover it up.

  Floating Christmas Tree So if you make a lot of holiday cards like I do, it is time to start working on them! I know, I know, we haven't had Halloween yet, but if you want to send them out before the holiday it is time to get working. And this lovely card was inspired by someone else (sorry I just took a picture of it but there was no name on it so I can't thank you) who used her scraps to make the tree. I took it one step further and made a floating scraps tree. I've been wanting to make a card with this technique for a while and I knew this tree would look fabulous like this. And the second bonus is that I got to use up a ton of Lights Aglow scraps, even the small ones. All you need to do is cut your scraps into 1/2" pieces, attach them to a piece of window sheet and then cut out whatever shape you like. Something Fancy Before I get to making this card, I want to announce that I am selling Mystery Boxes of retired Stampin' Up product. One Horse Open Sleigh Card We have a lot of wonderful things starting 7/6/23 over on Stampin' Up. First up is everyone can now buy several new products that are On-Line Exclusives, including this lovely 6" by 6"  Designer Series Paper called One Horse Open Sleigh. It is made to go with a new horse and sleigh stamp set, but as you can see, it is beautiful on its own. It has lovely wintery scenes on one side and nice small images on the other side.
