Watercolor Melon Sneak Peek

I am giving you another sneak peek today, this time from the Sale a Bration catalog that starts 1/4/24. If you haven't heard of Sale a Bration, it is the one time of the year that you can earn free products (stamp sets, dies, Designer Series Paper and an embossing folder) just for buying other Stampin' Up! products that you love. You can earn the Watercolor Melon stamp set by spending only $50 on anything you want and for spending $100 you can earn the stamp set I used for the sentiment and it comes with a great embossing folder. Check out my Facebook Live below where I will show you both sets in detail as well as how to make this card, and then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST to join me for more card making fun!

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Garden Green cardstock --Card base 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at  4 1/4" and folded along the score line. Second piece 4" by 4 1/4"
2. Basic Black cardstock--a scrap about 3/4" wide for the sentiment
3. Basic White cardstock--a piece cut with the 3rd largest Countryside die, inside piece 3 3/4" by 5" and a scrap for the watermelons
4. Stamp Sets--Watercolor Melon and Softly Sophisticated (both will be available Jan 4th-Feb 29th 2024 only
5. Dies--Countryside Corners
6. Ink--Garden Green, Real Red, Memento Black
7. Black and White Gingham Ribbon
8. Embossing supplies--Versamark, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder
9. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Piercing Mat,  Regular and Mini Dimensionals

Start by randomly stamping the big watermelon in Garden Green all over the 4" by 5 1'/4" piece of cardstock. Then take your scrap of Basic White and in Real Red stamp one of each of the watermelon slices (notice one has a bite taken out of it--how cute!) on the scrap of Basic White. Stamp the rinds in Garden Green and the group of 3 seeds 3 times on each piece of watermelon in Memento Black and fussy cut them out. Stamp a watermelon piece the same way on your envelope.

Cut the Countryside Corners Basic White die-cut at 3". Take the leaves in the Watercolor Melon set and ink them in Garden Green and stamp them off TWICE each time before randomly stamping on the Countryside piece.

Stamp the inside Basic White inside piece with a row of watermelon seeds and attach that to the inside of your folded card base. Stamp the sentiment from Softly Sophisticated on the Basic Black scrap with Versamark then sprinkle the white embossing powder. Tap off the excess and watch the magic as you heat it with your Heat Tool. Fussy cut the sentiment out. Here's how the inside looks:

Now we can put the rest of our card together. Wrap the Gingham Ribbon around the bottom 1/3 of the watermelon stamped piece and tie a knot. Cut the ends on the diagonal. Attach this to your card base using glue or Stampin' Seal +. Attach the cut watermelon pieces to the leaf piece--I glued one flat and lifted the other up on Dimensionals. Attach these to your card using Dimensionals. Attach the sentiment using glue on the top half and 2 Mini Dimensionals on the bottom half. Here's another view of your finished card.
