Be My Valentine Fun Fold

If you don't have it yet, this happy card should make you fall in love with the Bee Mine suite of products on page 8-10 in the Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalog. This set, and especially the DSP just makes me smile when I see it. I'm sure the recipient of this Valentine's Day card will be laughing when they see it, especially when they notice the bee is on a wobble.

The card has a little surprise when you open it up as you can see in the pictues below. If you get lost making this card, watch me make it on my Facebook live below and then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST to join me for more card making fun! Or you can watch me on YouTube--both are at  Stamp with Dr Robin.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Petal Pink cardstock --Card base 3 1/4" by 11" scored on the long side at  5 1/2" and folded along the score line. Second piece scrap at least 1 1/4" wide
2. Bee Mine DSP--inside piece 5 1/4" by 6" scored at 3". Front piece 1 7/8" by 3"
3. Daffodil Delight cardstock--scrap at least 1 1/4" wide
4. Basic White cardstock--Inside piece 2 3/4" by 5",  1/2" piece for the front sentiment and the antennae
5. Stamp Set--Bee My Valentine
6. Punches--Bee My Valentine and 2 3/8" Circle Punch
7. Ink--Memento Black, Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet
8. Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon--approximately 4" piece
9. Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers
11. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool, Piercing or Glass Mat,  Regular Dimensionals, Tear 'N Tape

Fold your card base in half.  Using your 2 3/8" Circle, punch a circle in the front about 1/2" down from the fold. Attach the small piece of DSP to the bottom of the front of the card. Fold the 6" piece in half on the fold line and attach to the inside of the card--you can have it open either way, and showing either side of the DSP through the punched circle.

Stamp your inside sentiment on Basic White using Memento Black. Stamp the corners with the hearts in Sweet Sorbet--stamp these on your envelope too!

Let's make our bee. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the bee body on Daffodil Delight and punch him out. Then add the face--you have several to choose from in this set. Stamp the antennae on the 1/2" piece of Basic White and punch them out using the small heart on the bee punch. Stamp the wings in Petal Pink on Petal Pink cardstock and punch them out using the bigger circle. Attach them together as below. Add a wobble to the back of your bee and attach to the inside of the card through the circle as below.

Fold your ribbon in half and cut the ends diagonally. Attach to the front using a small piece of Tear 'N Tape, or Seal +. Stamp the sentiment on 1/2" piece of Basic White and then slant cut the ends. Attach the sentiment using Dimensionals.

Add a couple of flowers from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers if you wish and you are done.
