Detailed Dogwood Fun Fold
Start with your 12" piece of scored DSP. Fold the 4" scored fold toward the inside first, and then the 2" fold out--it is very important when you do this that you make sure the folds line up perfectly with the top and bottom of the paper. Do the same thing to the other side--fold the 8" fold toward the inside and then the 10" one toward the outside. Make sure they meet in the middle and that you have the paper in the right direction, if it is a directional one as some are in this paper package.
Now unfold the paper and mark down 2" from the top along the outside--I found it easier to mark on the back of this paper as it is so dark. Cut from the top of the first (2") fold to this mark, cutting off a triangle. Now do the same on the other top outer corner. If you don't understand how to do this, watch my Facebook Live video below and then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST and watch me make another card. Now take these triangles, turn them over and glue them to the outer bottom corners of your DSP. So amazing how that looks!
For the front piece, emboss the smaller dogwood flowers in gold. Be sure to use your Embossing Buddy first--you can see on my video what happens if you forget to do this! Stamp in Versamark, cover with Gold Embossing Powder and tap off the excess, then watch the magic when you turn on the heat gun. Now color in the flowers using the Dark and Light Pretty Peacock Blends. Stamp the sentiment from Perennial Postage in Pretty Peacock. Attach a dragonfly, tie a knot in a small piece of the Pretty Peacock and Gold Metallic Ribbon and cut the edges on a diagonal. Attach using a Mini Glue Dot.
Below is my Facebook Live from 1/22/24 where I make this card, and show you some tips to help with the cardmaking.
