Mediterranean Blooms Fun Fold

The Mediterranean Blooms suite is (at least for now) my favorite suite in the 2024-5 Annual Catalog. I love the colors in the DSP with all the lemons and oranges and then you turn the pages over to a wonderful surprise--these blue patterns which are equally luscious! I couldn't decide which side to show you all first, but decided I would work with the blue patterns as they reminded me of a trip to Italy years ago. I got the idea for the embossing on the Night of Navy from Janet Wakeland (of Remarkably Created) and took it to the next level by making a fun-fold card.

If you are reading this today, please note that 5/21 is FREE SHIPPING day at Stampin' Up. If you order from me, please use my Host Code EPQ4BAME.

Let's make this card. Gather your supplies:
1. Night of Navy cardstock --Card base 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at  4 1/4" and folded along the score line. A second piece about 4" by 4" for the fruit.
2. Basic White cardstock-- 3 1/4" by 4" piece for the outside and 4" by 5 1/4" for the inside. Also a 5/8" strip for the sentiment
3. Mediterranean Blooms DSP--outside piece 3" by 3 3/4" and inside pieces two at 3/4" by 3 3/4"
4. Stamp Set--Citrus Blooms
6. Dies--Citrus Blooms
7. Opal Rounds Assortment
8. Embossing supplies--Embossing Buddy, Versamark Ink, White Embossing Powder and Heat Tool
9. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Regular and Mini Dimensionals, Cut and Emboss Machine

Take your card base and on the front cut in from the sides 1" going from the bottom to the fold (so 4 1/4") on both sides. Cut across the fold to this line, cutting off a piece that is 1" by 4 1/4". If this is confusing, please watch my video below.

You can now put together most of your card. Take the 3/4" strips of DSP and attach them to the inside (larger) piece of Basic White, leaving a 1/4" border on top bottom and sides. Attach this to the inside of the card. Attach the front piece of DSP to the smaller piece of Basic White and attach that to the front of your card.

Time to stamp. Using the 4" piece of Night of Navy, use your embossing buddy first over the whole thing before stamping in Versamark. Pour white embossing powder over the Versamark, flicking off the excess and then melting it with your Heat Tool. Die cut it out and add to the front with Regular and Mini Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment on the 5/8" piece of Basic White and diagonally cut the ends. Sprinkle some Night of Navy Opal Rounds (I used 2 large and 1 small) and you are done!

Here's another picture of the whole card.
