Mediterranean Blooms with Lemons

The Mediterranean Blooms suite is still my favorite suite in the 2024-5 Annual Catalog and I can't stop playing with it. I love the colors in the DSP with all the lemons and oranges and the dies can't be beat as they even cut out some of the oranges in the DSP.

My June class will be using the Mediterranean Blooms suite of products. If you want a fun class filled with beautiful colors and images, this is the class for you! I will have this class at my home on June 30th, but it can also be ordered as a Class to Go and I will send everything you need to your house, including emailing you a PDF on how to make it all yourself.

Let's make this cards--gather your supplies:

1. Garden Green cardstock --Card base 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at  4 1/4" and folded along the score line.

2. Basic White cardstock-- 3 3/4" by 5" for the inside. Also, a sentiment piece cut from Unbounded Love dies

3. Mediterranean Blooms DSP—4” by 10 ½” folded in half with the small yellow flowers on the outside (make sure to notice they are directional). Fussy cut one of the large lemons from another piece of DSP along with one of the flowers.

4. Stamp Set--Citrus Blooms

5. Dies--Citrus Blooms, Unbounded Love

6. Ink—Daffodil Delight

7. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Regular and Mini Dimensionals, Cut and Emboss Machine

Here is the surprise inside this card--it is actually a fun fold!

Using the large leaf die, center it on the front of the Garden Green cardstock and die cut it. make sure to notice that the flowers are going the correct way as they are directional.

Stamp some flowers in Daffodil Delight on the Basic White piece and attach it to the inside of the card.

In Daffodil Delight, stamp the outside sentiment towards the left part of the Unbounded Love sentiment piece. Attach it to the front of the card (put the glue on the leaves and edge of the card base, not the sentiment piece). Cut off the part on the right hanging over—alternately, you can cut down the sentiment piece to about 2 1/8” first before stamping it.

Attach the fussy cut flower to the sentiment piece (I glued it, but you could use a mini Dimensional). Attach your fussy cut lemon piece to the card—again, put the glue on the leaves and not on the lemon piece or you will glue the card shut. If you are having trouble following these directions, please check out my Facebook Live below, then come join us every Monday at 1 pm PST for more cards (just not 6/17 as I will be helping my dad with some surgery). Here is a close up of the sentiment piece.
