Season of Green & Gold Sneak Peek

You are in for a treat today--another sneak peek at some Online Exclusives that start on midnight MT 7/3/24! This is a mega suite called Seasons of Green and Gold and includes 2 bundles, 2 papers (one is gold foiled on one side and the other is a printed vellum), satin ribbon and embellishments. I've used all of them except the embellishments on this card. The papers use several colors of green (Mossy Meadow, Garden Green and Old Olive) and the back sides are as pretty as the front sides. And GOLD! Every piece has gold foil running through it. If you have missed your vellum, not to worry as you have several pieces to choose from in the Graceful Greenery Vellum. You are going to love this suite! I went through everything in the suite on my Facebook Live on 7/1 (Stamp with Dr Robin) so go there to see it all.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Garden Green cardstock --Card base 4 1/4" by 11" scored on the long side at  2 3/4" from both ends and folded along the score lines towards the middle. 2 additional pieces each 1 3/4" by 5"
2. Scraps of Mossy Meadow and Old Olive to to cut a bough of each from the Golden Greenery dies.
3. Season of Green & Gold DSP--2 pieces each 1 1/2" by 4 3/4"
4. Graceful Greenery Vellum--die cut out a bough and a leaf piece
5. Very Vanilla cardstock--  3 3/4" by 5" for the inside. A scrap to die cut the sentiment piece using the Greetings of the Season dies
6. Stamp Sets--Golden Greenery, Greetings of the Season
7. Dies--Golden Greenery, Greetings of the Season
8. Satin Ribbon--about 10", cut in half down the center of the ribbon
9. Ink--Mossy Meadow
10. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool,  Regular Dimensionals, Cut and Emboss Machine, Mini Glue Dots.

Fold the 2 sides of your card base towards each other along the score lines, making sure they meet in the middle. Attach the 2 pieces of DSP to the 1 3/4" by 5" pieces of Garden Green cardstock. Attach the top piece to the left half of your card front and the bottom piece to the right side centering the pieces left to right and top and bottom with a space between them. Make sure you only put glue on the correct half of the strip! Here's another picture of the card we are making. 


Stamp the sentiment from Greetings of the Season on the die cut. Arrange 2 bow pieces and 2 pieces cut from the vellum on the bottom DSP piece and then attach them all to the card. Attach the sentiment using Dimensionals. Tie a bow in the ribbon (remember to cut it down the middle so it isn't so wide) and attach it over the hole in the sentiment piece using a Mini Glue Dot. Trim the edges of your ribbon diagonally if needed. 

For the inside, use the 2 step bow stamp from Golden Greenery and Mossy Meadow ink. Stamp the bottom stamp off prior to stamping on the Very Vanilla inside piece. Use the ink full strength to stamp the top one. Attach to the inside of the card.

  Floating Christmas Tree So if you make a lot of holiday cards like I do, it is time to start working on them! I know, I know, we haven't had Halloween yet, but if you want to send them out before the holiday it is time to get working. And this lovely card was inspired by someone else (sorry I just took a picture of it but there was no name on it so I can't thank you) who used her scraps to make the tree. I took it one step further and made a floating scraps tree. I've been wanting to make a card with this technique for a while and I knew this tree would look fabulous like this. And the second bonus is that I got to use up a ton of Lights Aglow scraps, even the small ones.   Pick of the Patch Joy Fold Card This fun joy fold card just makes me smile. I'm loving the Pick of the Patch bundle lately for its versatility--it can make beautiful fall cards, great Thanksgiving cards, and today a Halloween card. Playing with Thoughtful Journey DSP Hopefully you have received your new 2024-25 Annual Catalog by now--if not please email me at stampwithdrrobin@gmail.com and let me send you one if you don't have a demonstrator. I am making a card today using the gorgeous 6" by 6" Thoughtful Journey DSP as each page is more beautiful than the last.
