Humble Home Christmas Card

This card is filled with all sorts of wonderful new products from the 2024 Sept-Dec Mini Catalog. I am loving the Humble Home bundle for many reasons--first, I love punch bundles in general as they are so easy to use and beginner friendly. Secondly, this bundle is so versatile--it is great for "welcome to the neighborhood" card, great for realtor cards, great for thank you cards and as I've used it here, for a holiday card. I know everyone loves the new peppermint embellishments, as they sold out in just hours after they went live for customers. Not to worry, they will be back in a week or two. If you get lost making this card, be sure to watch my Facebook Live below for tips, and join us every Monday at 1 pm PST for more cardmaking fun.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Real Red cardstock --Card base 4 1/4" by 11" scored on the long side at 5 1/2", scrap to cut backing of the house using Greetings of the Season dies
2. Basic White cardstock-- 4" by 5 1/4"  for the inside, and a scrap for behind the house
3. Basic Beige cardstock--need about a 3" by 3" piece4
4. Snowy Scene DSP--2 1/2" by 5 1/4"
5. Stamp Set--Humble Home
6. Dies--Greetings of the Season
7. Punch--Humble Home
8. Ink--Real Red and Crumb Cake
9.Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints
10. Real Red & White Baker's Twine--14"
11. Stampin' Write Markers in Real Red and Pecan Pie
12. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool,  Regular Dimensionals, Cut and Emboss Machine, Glue Dot

Let's start by folding your card base along the scoring line then opening it up and cut out a piece as below. Cut down along the fold 1 1/2" then turn the card 90 degrees and on the front
cut across at 1 1/2" to meet it.

Now place the inside piece in the card (don't attach just yet) and stamp the top sentiment above the line where you cut out the Real Red part. Easiest way to do this is to close up the card and stamp the upper sentiment like that. Then open the card and stamp the Merry Christmas.as below. Now attach this to the inside of your card.

Time to make our house. Stamp the house in Crumb Cake on Basic Beige and punch it out with the Humble Home punch. Color with Real Red marker (or Blend) as below (under the roof, the fireplace and under the door and windows). Color the eaves and the top and bottom of the windows with Pecan Pie Marker. Attach the white die cut to the Real Red one then place the house on top using Dimensionals--notice I strategically placed the right eave so that it covers the hole on the die cut. Cut the twine in half and tie a double bow and use a Glue Dot to adhere it to the card.

Attach the bottom only of the red die cut to the front of your card using Dimensionals and you are done. Here's another view of the finished card.
