Sentimental Christmas Fun Fold Card

I think the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper is just so soft, beautiful and a little bit retro. I also love that for every pack of this paper you buy, Stampin' Up will donate $3 to children's literacy in the US, which makes it twice as nice. So please buy this DSP! It makes such lovely cards--I used 3 different DSPs on this one card. And I am not sure you can tell by looking at the picture above, but it is a fun fold too! If you get stuck, or are just a more visual learner, please watch my Facebook Live below where I made this card. Then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST to make another card with me.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Lost Lagoon cardstock --Card base 5 1/2" by 7 1/4" scored on the long side at 4 1/4".
2. Basic White cardstock--a piece 4" by 5 1/4" for the inside of your card and 3/4" scrap about 4" long
3. Poppy Parade cardstock--a piece cut with the 7th largest Deckled Circle dies
4. Sentimental Christmas DSP--the front piece is 5 1/4" by 2 3/4", the striped piece is 1 1/4" by 5 1/4", and the deer piece is cut with the 8th largest Deckled Circle dies
5. Stamp Sets--Greetings of the Season
6. Dies--Deckled Circles
7. Ink--Pretty Peacock and Poppy Parade
8. Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints
9. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool,  Regular Dimensionals

Start by folding the card base along the score line. Then attach the striped piece of DSP to the inside Basic White piece--DO NOT GLUE THIS DOWN YET! Attach the deer Deckled Circle to the Poppy Parade circle. Please note that when I did the video below, I used the smaller, single deer from the DSP and therefore used the next smaller Deckled Circles.

Now score the circle on the front right side, about 3/8" from the edge and fold the small piece back. Attach the circle to the BACK of the inside white piece by putting glue on the back of the small piece of the circle (the Poppy Parade side). Then attach the inside/white piece to the card as below. Now close the card up and put something heavy like a book or a punch on the circle to weigh it down.

Back to the front of the card now. I did cut the front piece from the middle of one of the sides of this piece of paper so that I could save the corners for something else. Attach the front/candy cane piece to the front of the card.

For the sentiment I used the 3/4" scrap piece of Basic White and stamped the Merry in Pretty Peacock and the Christmas in Poppy Parade. Now flag both ends and attach just the left side to the bottom of the card. Scatter 1 of each size of the Peppermints on the card.
