Otterly Adorable Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek at the Otterly Adorable suite of products. I love otters--I could watch them all day swimming around, and especially when they have a baby on their stomach like the one in this picture. If you've ever been to Monterey, CA and watched them in the bay, or at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you know what I mean. If you are ever in Northern California, especially the Bay Area, do at least a day trip there and you won't be disappointed.

Back to this Online Exclusive suite that go live to everyone 11/5/24--it has fabulous DSP and many of the dies cut out the otters on the papers. This one I used I actually fussy cut as it doesn't have a matching die, but it was really easy to do. If you get lost making this card, watch my Facebook Live below for some pointers.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Balmy Blue cardstock --Card base 5 1/2" by 7 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4". Cut the second largest radiating stitches circle from the Spotlight on Nature dies. Die cut 1 one of the larger seaweed pieces also.
2. Basic White cardstock--a piece 4" by 5 1/4" for the inside of your card
3. Old Olive cardstock--Die cut 2 one of the larger seaweed pieces
4. Pretty Peacock--Die cut 1 one of the smaller seaweed pieces
5. Otterly Adorable DSP--the front piece is 5 1/4" by 3", the river rock piece is 1" by 5 1/4". Fussy cut or use the dies to cut out an otter from the paper
6. Stamp Sets--Otterly Amazing
7. Dies--Otterly Amazing, Spotlight on Nature
8. Ink--Pretty Peacock and Calypso Coral
9. Riverside Irregular Pearls
10. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool,  Regular Dimensionals, Tear 'N Tape or double-sided sticky tape

Start by folding your card base along the score line. Attach the DSP with the seaweed to the front of the card.

Now let's stamp. Stamp the school of fishes twice on the Basic White piece of cardstock and attach the 1" piece of DSP to the right side, flush with the side of the white. Alternatively (like I did on the video), cut the white piece to 2 3/4" by 5 1/4" and attach it to the inside with some Balmy Blue showing between the white and the DSP.

Take your Spotlight on Nature circle and stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock. Stamp a school of fish, making sure the ones that go through the sentiment are stamped off first. Attach the otter you've fussy cut or used the dies to cut from the DSP to the circle using Dimensionals.

Arrange the 3 larger seaweed pieces along what will be the top of the circle and attach using Tear 'N Tape or double sided tape. Do the same with the 2 smaller pieces of seaweed on the right bottom of the circle. Attach the circle to the DSP using Dimensionals, just make sure you don't put any on the far right so they don't hand over the edge. Scatter 3 of the Riverside Irregular Pearls on the front and you are done!
