Sentimental Decorative Tree
Decorative Trees might be my favorite bundle from the 2024 Sept-Dec mini catalog. Most of the cards I have created from this set use the amazing dies, but not this time. I really wanted to see if I could make the tree look like one of the trees from the Sentimental Christmas DSP and if you look at the tree in the lower left of the card, that's the one I was trying to copy. So do you think I did a good job?
One of the things I love about the Sentimental Christmas DSP is that $3 from every package bought is donated to support a children's literacy program in the US. I love that Stampin' Up gives back in our communities.
Let's make this card. Gather your supplies:
1. 1. Basic
Beige cardstock 5 ½” by 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” and folded on the score line.
Second piece cut with the 3rd largest Countryside Corners die
2. 2. Sentimental
Christmas DSP—4” by 5 ¼”
3. 3. Basic
White cardstock—3 ¾” by 5” for the inside
4. 4. Poppy
Parade cardstock—cut 5 ornaments and 1 star
5. 5.Azure
Afternoon cardstock—1” by 2 ½” scrap
6. 6. Stamp
set—Decorative Trees
7. 7. Dies— Countryside Corners
8. 8. Ink—Mossy
Meadow and Daffodil Delight
9. 9. Lt
Azure Afternoon Blend
10. 10. Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker
(or Dark Blend)
11 11. Supplies--Cut & Emboss Machine, bone folder, Paper Snips, Dimensionals (regular and mini), adhesive of choice
Stamp the
outline and then the center of the tree in Mossy Meadow on the Countryside
Corners die cut. Using the Azure Afternoon Blend draw candles on the tips of
the trees and top them with Daffodil Delight flames.
Stamp “O Christmas Tree” on the Azure Afternoon scrap and fussy cut it out, or you can leave it plain.
Stamp the inside sentiment in Mossy Meadow and the stars around it in Daffodil Delight on the Basic White cardstock and attach that to the inside of the card.
Happy Stampin',
Robin
