Heart Shaped Fun Fold
I've had a lot of fun playing with the 2025 Sale-a-Bration products this month, and this card includes 2 of them--the Heart Shaped bundle and the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper. I especially love this heart shaped die cut in the bundle and can see using it for Valentine's Day, anniversary cards, birthday cards or just to tell someone I love them and are thinking about them. Remember you can get these items for free, each with a $60 order until the end of February, or while supplies last.
I know it looks like a typical card, but if you check it out below, or on my Facebook Live at the bottom of this post, you will see that it has a special way of opening that we've not done before.
Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:
1. Bubble Bath cardstock --Card base 5 1/2" by 7 1/4" scored on the long side at 1 1/4" and 4 1/4".
2. Basic White cardstock--a piece 2 3/4" by 5 1/4" for the inside of your card and a 3" square for the front
3. Bloom Impressions DSP--one piece 2 3/4" by 5 1/4" and the second one 1" by 5 1/4", a piece 2 1/2" by 2 3/4" for the heart
4. Melon Mambo cardstock--cut one of the flowers from the Heart Shaped dies
5. Stamp Sets--Heart Shaped
6. Dies--Heart Shaped
7. Ink--Shy Shamrock
8. Blooming Pearls
9. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool, Regular and Mini Dimensionals, Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio
Fold the Bubble Bath card base along the 4 1/4" fold and fold backwards on the 1 1/4" fold.
Using Shy Shamrock ink, stamp the Heart from the Heart Shaped stamp set on the 3" Basic White square (towards the top) and also on the inside of the card. You could also stamp it on your envelope. Attach the inside piece as below.
Stamp the sentiment at the bottom of the 3" square in Shy Shamrock. Die cut the heart out of one of the Bloom Impressions DSPs with the heart die and attach it to the stamped heart on the 3" piece of Basic White. Attach the Melon Mambo flower using a Mini Dimensional. Put a large pink Blooming Pearl in the center of the flower and another large and small pearl as below.
Put 3 regular Dimensionals in a row on the back of the right side of your square and attach it to the right front of the card--the Dimensionals should not overlap the 1 1/4" fold so that the card opens as below. Kind of different, right? Make sure the 3" square looks centered on the front when the card is closed.
Below is my Facebook Live from 1/20/25 where I make this card, and show you some tips to help with the cardmaking. Sorry that the words on the live are backwards--Facebook changed something today and I haven't figured it out yet.
