Marbled Elegance Fun Fold

If you haven't been on stampinup.com in awhile, you need to go check out the Online Exclusives section as most of the products I am using today came from that section. Except for the ribbon, they are all part of the Marbled Elegance suite which is the only big suite of Valentine's Day products this year. Of course, they can also be used for many other cards and scrapbook pages, including birthdays, weddings and anniversaries. I think what I love best about the Hearts of Elegance bundle is the beautiful details on some of the dies--you can see it on the Melon Mambo heart above and the gold one inside. And of course, if you know me, you know I love DSP and you will love this one too as it has a ton of gold accents.

Supplies to make this card:

1.      1.Melon Mambo--Cut the largest heart and a scrap piece for the flowers

3.     3. Gold Foil—cut the smaller intricate heart as seen below

4.      4.Marbled Elegance DSP—5 ¼” by 12” scored at 2,4,6 & 8”

5.      5.Stamp Set—Hearts of Elegance

6.      6.Dies-- Hearts of Elegance

7.      7.Gold Open Weave Trim—about 6”

8.      8. Ink—Flirty Flamingo and Versamark plus gold embossing powder and embossing supplies

9.      9. Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins

   10. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Piercing Mat or Glass Mat, Regular Dimensionals

To fold the DSP, I just accordion folded it, starting with the 4” part at the back—just make sure everything is even top and bottom. Now glue the first and second 2” pieces at the front together. Then attach the back of the 4” part to the 4 ¼” by 5 ½” piece of Melon Mambo. If this doesn't make sense to you, please watch my Facebook Live video (or the one on YouTube) and come back next Monday at 1 pm and watch me make another card.

Gold emboss the “Love You” on the bottom of the die cut Melon Mambo heart.

Stamp 2 flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink on the small piece of Basic White and cut them out with the dies. Use the same ink to stamp the inside sentiment on the large Basic White heart.

Attach the large white heart first to the card (on the 4” part of the DSP) making sure it is straight. Then attach the Melon Mambo heart to the front piece—make sure you only put adhesive on the top part, and that it is centered in the large white heart behind it. Then attach the gold heart on to the middle fold .

Close it all up now and decorate the front. Tie a knot in the gold trim and attach it to the top left of the Melon Mambo heart (I used a Mini Glue Dot). Attach the two flowers together then put Dimensionals on the back to attach them.

Use 2 medium Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins in the center of the flowers and 1 large one on the right side of the heart (or as many as you want).
