Serene Love Card

I decided to make this card using the Online Exclusive Serene Love Designer Series paper as it is now on the Last Chance List, meaning you may only have a limited time to buy it before it is gone forever. This DSP is so beautiful you NEED to have it. It contains 6 different patterns and 2 are in this Lost Lagoon, 2 patterns are in Night of Navy and 2 are in Old Olive. All are beautiful and you get 2 of each pattern. Don't wait and pick them up soon before they sell out. Down below, you will see that I also made this card in Night of Navy. If you look closely, you can see this card also has another Online Exclusive, the Elements of Text stamp set that I used to stamp the circle die cut. It has several different stamps that are great for backgrounds, especially if you like a shabby chic look. If you get lost following these directions, please watch my Facebook Live below for help and tips and tricks to make it easier.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Lost Lagoon cardstock --Card base 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half on the score line. A second piece 3/4" by about 2 1/4" for the sentiment piece
2. Serene Love DSP--4" by 5 1/4", fussy cut the flowers out, and a third piece 2 1/4" by 5 7/8" if you want to put it on your envelope flap
3. Basic White cardstock-- inside piece 3 3/4" by 5 1/4", a second piece die cut with a large circle die (here I used Everyday Details Dies (retired) but you could also use Stylish Shapes or a Spotlight on Nature one)
4. Stamp sets--Elements of Text, Simply Said and So Sincere
5. Dies--EITHER Everyday Details Dies (retired), Stylish Shapes or a Spotlight on Nature to make the circle
6. Ink--Lost Lagoon
7. Blooming Pearls
8. Embossing Supplies--Embossing Buddy, Versamark Ink, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool
9. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool,  Piercing Mat, Regular Dimensionals

Start by fussy cutting a group of 2-3 large flowers out of the Serene Love DSP.

Attach the 4" by 5 1/4" piece of DSP to the front of your folded card base.

Stamp the largest (circle) stamp from Elements of Text on to your Basic White Circle.

Using the 3/4" piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, stamp the "Thinking of You" sentiment from Simply Said in Versamark. Sprinkle white embossing powder over your stamping and flick off the excess before melting/heating with your Heat tool. Now flag the right side of this sentiment piece.

Let's put the card together. Attach the circle to the card front using Dimensionals. Glue the flowers on, but put a single Dimensional under the area that hangs off the circle. Attach the sentiment piece with Dimensionals. Use 2 large and 1 small Lost Lagoon Blooming Pearls (or more if you desire) on the front as above.

Stamp the sentiment below from So Sincere in Lost Lagoon on to the 3 3/4" by 5" piece of Basic White and attach it to the inside of your card.

I used the 2 1/4" by 5 7/8" piece of Serene Love to  make my envelope match--just put your adhesive on the flap first, lay down the DSP and turn over the flap and cut way the excess. Makes such a difference to have a beautiful matching envelope!

Here is the Night of Navy card I made also with the same technique.

And here are both cards together.
