Woven Textures Beauty

For today's card I used many products from the Online Exclusive suite Botanical Textures, but the star of this card is really the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. I just love how realistic these papers are--to me they look like photos of baskets or placemats. The colors are spot on with our beautiful Stampin' Up browns and I used a lot of different ones on this card. I don't (yet) have the Textured Notes stamp set, but I have showed you several different stamp sets on my card that work well with this DSP .
Also notice the embossed rectangle die cuts on this card brought to you by the Textured Notes dies. In my mind, this die set is the best product in the newest Online Exclusives so go check them out. I highlight them on my Facebook Live video below--don't get dismayed that I start out upside down as I fixed it pretty quickly--just fast forward a minute or so on the video if it drives you crazy.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Pecan Pie cardstock --Card base 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half on the score line. Also die cut the rushes from the Charming Duck Pond dies.
2. Woven Textures DSP--die cut with the 3rd largest Textured Notes dies
3. Crumb Cake cardstock--die cut with the largest Textured Notes dies
4. Basic Beige cardstock--2 piece, die cut with the 2nd and 4th largest Textured Notes dies
5. Basic White cardstock--a scrap for the front sentiment
6. Early Espresso cardstock--Die cut the rushes from the Charming Duck Pond dies.
7. Stamp sets--It's OKay, Charming Duck Pond, and Layering Leaves
8. Dies--Textured Notes and Charming Duck Pond
9. Ink--Pecan Pie and Early Espresso
10. Neutral Matte Dots
11. Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder
12. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool,  Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular Dimensionals

Start by folding your card base in half. Run the Crumb Cake layer through the Cut and Emboss Machine inside the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder and attach this to the front of your card. Note that on my video I forgot to use the embossing folder. I will show you how that card came out below. Attach the Woven Textures die cut piece at an angle.

Now for the stamping. Take the larger Basic Beige die cut and using the "Sending Hugs" sentiment from Layering Leaves stamp in Early Espresso. Using the same ink, stamp the rushes from the Charming Duck Pond stamp set on the bottom right--this is a two step stamp set, so be careful when you stamp the second (the little oval parts). You might want to practice this first. Attach this to the inside of your card.

Now take the other (4th largest Textured Notes die cut) Basic Beige piece and the leaf stamp from It's Okay stamp set. Stamp this leaf using stamped off Pecan Pie ink (stamp first on a scrap page and then without re-inking on the Basic Beige) randomly around the cardstock. Attach the two colors of the rushes together at the bottom--I offset the Pecan Pie one behind the Early Espresso one as below. Now attach them to the bottom of the Basic Beige stamped piece then attach that to the card using Dimensionals.

Stamp the "Thinking of You" from Layering Leaves on to the Basic White scrap and hand cut it out. Attach this to the card using Dimensionals, covering the bottom of the rushes.

You can see the difference below the difference using the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder makes on the background piece.
