Let's Make Lemonade

This card is all about welcoming in summer with a nice cool glass of lemonade, brought to you by the Celebratory Sips Designer series paper and the Cheers & Sips bundle. As it gets warm, I love an ice-cold glass of lemonade, which is a good thing as I have several lemon trees in my backyard! On this card, the sentiment is from the Notes & Totes stamp set and notice one of my favorite die sets, Everyday Arches, has made an appearance also.

For more tips and tricks on using these sets (or if you are just a more visual learner) watch my Facebook Live below. And then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST at Stamp with Dr Robin for some more card making fun.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Daffodil Delight cardstock --Card base 5 1/2" by 8 1/2"" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded in half on the score line. A second piece 4" by 5 1/4"
2.Basic White cardstock--2 pieces 3 3/4" by 5"
3. Basic Black cardstock--1" by 4"
4. Celebratory Sips DSP--one of the large Daffodil Delight rectangles
5. Stamp sets-- Cheers & Sips, Notes & Totes
6. Dies--Cheers & Sips, Everyday Arches
7. Ink--Memento Black, Smokey Slate, Daffodil Delight
8. Shades of Green Hexagons
9. Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder
10, Blender Pen
11. Wink of Stella
12. Embossing Supplies--Embossing Buddy, Versamark, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool
13. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool,  Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular Dimensionals

Let's start by stamping the taller glass over one of the Daffodil Delight rectangles on the Celebratory Sips DSP. Cut it out with either the dies or fussy cut it. Stamp the ice cubes 2 times using stamped off (stamp it first on scratch paper and then towards the bottom of the glass) Smokey Slate ink. Let this dry then run the glass through you Stamp, Cut and Emboss machine with the Cheers & Sips die that embosses the pattern below.

Using one piece of Basic White, cut out the 4th smallest Everyday Arch. Then run the arch through your machine inside the Mini Corrugated embossing folder. On the rest of this piece of Basic White, stamp 3 lemons in Daffodil Delight. Use your Blender Pen to move a bit of the ink around the center of the slices. Cut them out using the Cheers & Sips dies or fussy cut them.

Randomly stamp the lemons in Daffodil ink around the entire 4" by 5 1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight.

Let's emboss the sentiment now on the 1" piece of Basic Black. Remember to use your Embossing Buddy first, then stamp the sentiment (from Notes & Totes) in Versamark, then cover in white embossing powder and flick off the extra. Heat emboss with your heat tool. Slant cut the words out as below.

For the inside, using the other piece of Basic White, stamp the sentiment in Memento Black and the lemon in Daffodil Delight. I stamped one lemon full strength and the other 2 stamped off on scratch paper before stamping on the card. Attach this to the inside of your card.

Time to put the card front together. Attach the 4" by 5 1/4" piece of stamped Daffodil Delight to the front of the card, then attach the Everyday Arches piece. Cut a slit to the center of one of the lemons and attach to the glass (I used glue) and then attach that to the card using Dimensionals. Slide the other 2 lemons under the glass (attach with glue). Attach your cut up sentiment with Dimensionals

Add 3 of the mostly clear Shades of Green Hexagons and you are done.
