Advent Calendar Card


This card is from the supplies in the new 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar by Stampin' Up! It is a huge box that contains 12 doors that open each with a new (non-Christmas) crafting item PLUS a double sized exclusive stamp set. On my Facebook Live last week I showed everything in the calendar and this week I am using them to make a card. Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Basic White Thick cardstock--card base is 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" on the long side and folded in half
2. Basic White cardstock--1/2" scrap by about 3" for the sentiment, cut 3 of the medium sized postage stamp dies
3. Secret Sea cardstock--2" by 5 1/2". Second piece 3/4" by about 3 1/2"
4. Advent Calendar DSP--top DSP is 3" by 5 1/2", bottom one is 1 1/4" by 5 1/2"
5. Stamp Set--Advent Calendar
6. Dies--Advent Calendar
7. Ink--Secret Sea, Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry and Cloud Cover
8. Advent Calendar Blue & White twine
9. Puffy Pieces and some sequins from the Advent Calendar
10. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool,  Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots 

Fold your card base in half on the score line. Attach the 3" piece of DSP to the top and the 1 1/4" piece to the bottom with the card in the landscape mode. If you want to watch me make this card, check out my Facebook live below, then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST to see a new card.

Time to stamp 3 cupcakes on the postage stamp die cuts. Stamp off first, then stamp 2 cupcake bottoms in Secret Sea and 1 in Cloud Cover. Stamp off first, then stamp 2 icings in Flirty Flamingo on top of the Secret Sea bottoms and 1 in Crushed Curry on the Cloud Cover bottom. Attach these to the Secret Sea cardstock using Dimensionals, then attach that to the card front, covering where the DSP meets.



Stamp the sentiment on the 1/2" piece of Basic White. Flag the right side and then attach it to the 3/4" strip of Secret Sea. Tie a big bow in the blue twine and attach it to the center of the top of the card with a Mini Glue Dot. Attach the sentiment over the bow using Dimensionals.

Place 3 of the puffy embellishments on your cupcakes. I attached 3 of the loose clear sequins to the card also. Here's another look:

  Floating Christmas Tree So if you make a lot of holiday cards like I do, it is time to start working on them! Sentimental Christmas Fun Fold Card I think the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper is just so soft, beautiful and a little bit retro. I also love that for every pack of this paper you buy, Stampin' Up will donate $3 to children's literacy in the US, which makes it twice as nice. So please buy this DSP! Gingerbread Man & Woman Aren't these gingerbread man and woman just so cute? They are from the new 2025 Sept-Dec Mini Catalog that goes live to everyone at midnight 9/3/25. I am sure they are going to be a big seller, so get yours quickly before they sell out (just my prediction). The stamp set has lots of different expressions for our little gingerbread person, and the dies have many different objects for them to hold, but the cutest part of the bundle is that the die cuts 2 gingerbread men that you fold in half to make a card that can open.  This set is called Gingerbread Man, but I just had to see if I could make a gingerbread woman as he seemed to need a girlfriend. I don't know if you can tell, but her skirt is made from one of the Coneflower Celebrations dies cut from both Real Red and Garden Green cardstock.
