Elegant Pine Snowflake Surprise Fun Fold

I feel like this card is pretty on the outside, but the surprise is really on the inside! See below for what it looks like on the inside. I absolutely love the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Series Paper, especially the 2 prints that have the Secret Sea background like this one does. I think Secret Sea is my new favorite In Color--I love how dark and mysterious it is and how it goes so well with rich, dark colors like in this card, as well as pastels. It's my new go-to neutral.

For this card I mixed up items from multiple different suites, but they all go together so well. You may want to watch my video below to see how to make the inside.

Let's make this card. Gather your supplies:

  1. Secret Sea cardstock—card base 4 ¼” by 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” on the long side
  2. Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP—3 5/8” by 4 7/8” inside piece is 6” by 6”
  3. Basic White cardstock—inside piece 2 7/8” square. Die cut the banner from Traditional Labels die
  4. Cherry Cobbler cardstock—3 ¾” by 5”
  5. Old Olive—cut the bough using the Christmas Greenery dies
  6. Stamp sets—Traditional Labels, Christmas Greenery
  7. Dies—Traditional Labels, Christmas Greenery
  8. Ink—Secret Sea
  9.  Faceted Snowflakes

Fold the card base in half along the score line. Attach the Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP to the Cherry Cobbler cardstock and attach to the front of the card.

Using Secret Sea ink, stamp the greeting on the Traditional Labels dies. Attach the Old Olive die cut to the front, then the sentiment on Dimensionals.

For the inside, take the 6” square of Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP, with the inside paper facing up, fold it in half making a rectangle. Unfold the DSP and then fold in half the other way. Turn the paper over and fold in half MAKING A TRIANGLE. Now turn it back over and bring in the sides and should easily fold in on itself making the above square. Attach the back side to the inside of the open card, making sure you are centered and the point doesn’t stick out the bottom. Now keeping the inside folded, put glue on the top of the folded DSP and close the card, holding it in place while the glue dries.

Stamp a couple of sprigs from Christmas Greenery on the Basic White square then attach to the inside.

Use 1 large and one small Cherry Cobbler Faceted Snowflakes to the front of the card.
