Lovely Blossoms Sneak Peek
January 6th starts the new Jan-April Mini Catalog, but it also starts some wonderful Online Exclusives and today I'd like to introduce you to the Lovely Blossoms suite. This suite includes some gorgeous Designer Series Paper, the Lovely Arrangements bundle, the beautiful embellishments shown in the picture above, a new 3D embossing folder, and some 5/8" Cloud Cover Ribbon. We are going to make a card using 4 out of 5 of the elements above.
Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:
- Thick Basic White cardstock—card base 5 1/2" by 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” on the long side and folded in half along the score line
- Lovely Blossoms DSP--die cut with the Everyday Arches dies
- Secret Sea cardstock--die cut the large group of circles
- Basic White--4" by 5 1/4" and a piece die cut from the larger sentiment Lovely Arrangements dies
- Stamp set--Lovely Arrangements
- Dies--Lovely Arrangements, Everyday Arches
- Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder
- Ink—Secret Sea
- Moody Palette Glossy Dots
- Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool, Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular Dimensionals
Let's start by doing some cutting. Cut the flower piece shown out of the Lovely Blossoms DSP (it will be a larger rectangle when first cut out). Then die cut it out using the 3rd from the largest Everyday Arches dies. Cut one long row off the large group of circles that you die cut from Secret Sea and attach that to the right side of the Everyday Arches die cut. Save the rest for under the sentiment.
Run the large Basic White piece through the Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine inside the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder.
Now let's stamp using Secret Sea ink. Stamp a sentiment from Lovely Arrangements onto the sentiment die cut piece. Cut off another long row from the other side of the Secret Sea die cut circles. Cut off one of the circles and then attach the rest to the back bottom of the sentiment piece.
Stamp one of the flowers on the inside of the card.
Let's put the card together. Attach the 3D embossed Basic White piece to the front of the card. Attach the DSP piece to the front of the card. Now attach the sentiment using Dimensionals. I used 3 (2 large and 1 small) Secret Sea Moody Palette Glossy Dots scattered over the front and you are done
Here's another view of the card.
