Easter Basket Spring Card

Believe it or not, spring will be here before you know it, and the Easter Joy suite with the Easter Basket bundle will help you make some beautiful cards for this season as well as cards for Easter or Passover.  In my video below I also show you how to make this card in a slightly different way using our new Stampin' Positioner. You can get this Stampin' Positioner the month of February for free when you sign up to be a demonstrator--send me an email at stampwithdrrobin@gmail.com for information.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

  1. Thick Basic White cardstock—card base 5 1/2" by 7 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” on the long side and folded along the score line
  2. Easter Joy DSP--Front piece is 3" by 5 1/2", inside piece 1 1/4" by 5 1/2"
  3. Peach Pie cardstock--cut with the skinny Stylish Shapes die
  4. Balmy Blue cardstock--cut with Spotlight on Nature die (see below for which one)
  5. Basic White cardstock--cut with the Spotlight on Nature die, small scrap for the flower
  6. Shy Shamrock cardstock--cut with the Easter Basket grass die
  7. Stamp set--Easter Basket
  8. Dies--Easter Basket, Spotlight on Nature, Stylish Shapes
  9. Ink—Shy Shamrock
  10. Balmy Blue 1/4" Gingham Ribbon
  11. Sparkle Dot Essentials
  12. Stampin' Blends--Dark Peach Pie, Dark Pretty in Pink
  13. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool,  Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular and Mini Dimensionals, Tear 'N Tape
Fold your card base. Attach the 3" by 5 1/2" piece of DSP to the front of the card (even with the top of the card) and the 1 1/4" piece to the inside bottom of the card. Attach a 5 1/2" piece of the Balmy Blue ribbon to the bottom of the front--I used Tear 'N Tape to do this.

Using Shy Shamrock ink, stamp the flower 3 times on the Basic White circle. Stamp the flower one more time on a scrap of Basic White and once on the inside also. Color the outside flowers in Pretty in Pink and the middle and the one on the scrap in Peach Pie. Cut out the scrap one using the Easter Basket die. Attach the grass so that it covers the bottom of the flower stems. Attach the lone flower using a Mini and Regular Dimensional, then attach the white circle to the Balmy Blue circle. Attach the Balmy Blue circle using Dimensionals--it will overlap the opening so don't place the Dimensionals on the very bottom.

Using the Shy Shamrock ink, stamp the sentiment on the Peach Pie strip. Attach to the front of the card using Dimensionals on the right end and just some glue on the left end. Attach some pink Sparkle Dot Essentials to the front of the card and you are done.
