Flowers Fair Easter Card

The Flowers Fair stamp set is a large photopolymer stamp set that could take up an entire card if you wanted to, but I didn't want to do that much coloring on each card, as I had a lot of Easter cards to make. So instead I used my new Stampin' Positioner to stamp multiple copies on a smaller piece of Basic White cardstock and let various Designer Series Paper do the rest of the work on the card. If the Flowers Fair stamp set doesn't look familiar to you, it is because it isn't in a catalog as it is an Online Exclusive that was released at the beginning of this month. I just love how versatile it is and look forward to using it in many different ways.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

  1. Strawberry Slush cardstock—card base 5 1/2" by 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” on the long side and folded along the score line
  2. Florals in Boom DSP--two pieces 1 1/2" by 4". One piece 1/2" by 3 1/2" for the inside
  3. Basic Black cardstock--2 5/8" by 4", sentiment piece 5/8" by 3 1/2"
  4. Basic White cardstock--2 1/2" by 4", inside piece 3 1/2" by 5"
  5. Stamp set--Flowers Fair, Easter Basket
  6. Dies--Scalloped Wishes and Lovely Arrangements
  7. Ink—Memento Black
  8. Blends--Light/Dark Strawberry Slush, L/D Bubble Bath, L/D Lemon Lime Twist, Dark Daffodil Delight
  9. Embellishments--whatever you'd like
  10. Embossing supplies--Embossing Buddy, Versamark, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool
  11. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool,  Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular Dimensionals
Fold your card base in half on the score line. Attach the 1/2" piece of DSP to the bottom of the 3 1/2" by 5"  Basic White cardstock and attach to the inside of the card. Attach the 2 larger pieces of DSP to the top and bottom of the card making sure the edges are equal distance from the edge of the card.

Using your Stampin' Positioner (or a large F block, or use your Glass Mat as a large block) and stamp just the top part of the stamp in Memento Black on the smaller piece of Basic White. I used the above Blends to color my flowers--you can watch my video below to learn how I colored them. There's lots of other information on the video about Stampin' Up and my On Stage conference. Then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST to my Facebook Live on Stamp with Dr Robin and watch me make more cards.

Attach the colored flowers to the larger piece of Basic Black cardstock and attach that to the front of the card.

Time to emboss. Start by using your Embossing Buddy on the 1/2" strip of Basic Black. Stamp the Sentiment from Easter Basket in Versamark and sprinkle the White Embossing Powder over it, flicking off the excess. Heat emboss and watch the magic! Slant cut the ends of this piece and attach to the card using Dimensionals.

Add embellishments if you'd like. I used the Tiny Bee Trinkets attached with a glue dot.  Here's a picture of some cards in other colors I made using the same technique.
