Inspiring Imperfections Fun Fold
I was sad to see that the Inspiring Imperfections bundle is on the Last Chance list, as I feel like I haven't played with it enough. Then I saw Lisa Curcio make this type of fun fold that she called a Double Pop Up card using some other product and decided the Kintsugi Inspirations suite of products would be perfect for this type of card. The suite has beautiful gold foiled paper, gold gems, an amazing embossing folder and gold flowered gems that come together to make this amazing card.
Please watch my Facebook Live below as it may be easier than following written directions to get this right. Then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST to watch me make a new card at Stamp with Dr Robin.
Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:
1. Thick Basic White cardstock -- Base 4 1/4" by 11" scored on the long side at 5 1/2" and folded in half.
2. Petal Pink cardstock--2 3/4" by 4 1/4". Second piece 3/4" by 2 1/2". Third piece 1/2" by 2 1/2"
3.Basic White cardstock--front piece 4" by 5 1/4". Inside pieces: 2 pieces 4 1/2" by 4 1/4", 1 piece 4 1/4" by 4", 1 piece 4 1/4" by 2 1/2"
4. Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP--Front piece is 2 1/2" by 4". Inside pieces 4" by 4 1/4", 4" by 2 3/4", 4" by 2 1/4". Cut pieces from the DSP--2 big vases, cup and flower.
5. Embossing Folder--Joined Together 3D
6. Bundle--Inspiring Imperfections
7. Ink--Misty Moonlight
8. Flower Accents
9. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool, Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular Dimensionals
Let's start by decorating the front of the card. Run the 4" by 5 1/4" piece of Basic White through the Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Joined Together 3D Embossing folder and attach to the front of the card base. Attach the 2 1/2" by 4" piece of Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty DSP to the 2 3/4" by 4 1/4" piece of Petal Pink cardstock and then attach this to the card front. Attach a large Misty Moonlight vase to the front and a pink cup using Dimensionals.
Let's stamp everything with Misty Moonlight ink. Stamp the front sentiment on the 3/4" piece of Petal Pink and slant cut the ends. Attach this to the front with Dimensionals. Stamp the inside sentiment on the 1/2" of Petal Pink and slant cut the ends. Stamp the inside bottom right with the cup stamp.
Attach the 4" by 4 1/4" piece of Kintsugi DSP to the top inside of the card
Take the two 4 1/2" by 4 1/4" pieces of Basic white and on the 4 1/2" side score at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 1/2" and 3 1/2". Fold everything in on the score lines to make a square. Place glue (or Tear 'N Tape) on the outside of the 1/2" scored pieces and attach that to the other end and make 2 squares. Attach 2 sides of the first one up against the inside fold of the card--make sure the part with the edge is laying on the fold. Fold the card shut to make sure it all sits correctly.
Now attach the 4" by 2 3/4" piece of DSP to the top of the 4 1/4" by 4" piece of Basic White. Attach the back of this piece to the front of the white rectangle you just attached to the card. Repeat the above with the second 3D piece--attach this to the front of the piece you just attached to the card.
Attach the 4" by 2 1/4" piece of DSP to the 4 1/4" by 2 1/2" piece of Basic White and attach that to the front of the second 3D piece. It should look like the card below from the side.
Now decorate the interior using a vase on the middle card, and a flower cut from the DSP on the last card. Attach the 1/2" sentiment to the last card. Stick 3 of the Flower Accents to the front of the card and you are done. Here's a view of the front and open card from the top.
