Berry Botanical Vellum Joy Fold Card

Today I made a Joy Fold card using the May Product of the Month, Berry Botanical Vellum, which is a full package of 12" by 12" thick, colored vellum--3 each of 4 different prints and I've used ALL of them on this card. If you don't know about Stampin' Up's Product of the Month, if you spend $75 or more on an individual order (before taxes and shipping/handling) this month, you will be able to buy this vellum package for only $5!!! An amazing deal that you only buy one each month, but you can buy the prior month's Product of the Month, for as long as they last.

If you are more of a visual learner, please watch my Facebook Live below to guide you on making this card, and then come back every Monday at 1 pm PST on Facebook and watch me make another card.

Let's make this card. Gather your supplies:

  1. Fresh Freesia cardstock—card base 5 1/2" by 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” on the long side and folded along the score line.
  2. Basic White cardstock-- 8" by 3" scored on the long side at 4" and fold along the fold line, small scrap for the front sentiment
  3.  Berry Botanical Vellum Specialty DSP--2 3/4" by 3 3/4" for the front. 2 pieces of the Fresh Freesia Vellum each 4" by 5 1/4", Peaceful Pine polka dot piece for the inside is 1/2" by 3". Fussy Cut some leaves and a flower.
  4. Stamp set--Exciting Times
  5. Punch--Rounded Rectangle
  6. Ink— Fresh Freesia, Blueberry Bushel
  7. Shimmer Brushes--Peaceful Pine and Crisp Cantaloupe
  8. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool,  Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular and Mini Dimensionals
Open up your Fresh Freesia card base. Cut off a triangle from the front by putting the outside front bottom corner and the top of the fold along the Paper Trimmer track and cut off the top triangle as you can see below.

Attach one of the Fresh Freesia Vellum pieces to the inside of the card. Cut the other Vellum in half diagonally from the top left to the bottom right. I cut a bit off the long edge of the triangle to give a little more of the border showing. Attach this to the card front. To attach the vellum I used a small sponge dabbed in the Multipurpose Glue.

Fold the 8" by 3" piece of Basic White in half. Attach the 2 3/4" by 3 3/4" Vellum to the front. Stamp the outline piece of the sentiment in Fresh Freesia on a scrap of Basic White. Stamp the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel and punch out with the Rounded Rectangle punch.

Attach to the folded white piece to the little card with Dimensionals. Take the leaf and flower that you fussy cut out and use the Peaceful Pine and Cantaloupe Shimmer Brushes (be sure to shake them up well before using) and color part of the leaves and the inner part of the flower. Let dry for a bit, then glue the leaves under the sentiment piece. Attach the flower with a Mini Dimensional.

Attach the Basic White little card to the inside of the open card, making sure you can fold the little card shut on top of the diagonal cut Fresh Freesia card front.
