New 2026-28 In Colors Meet Scalloped Blooms



It's finally here! Starting at midnight MT on 5/5/26 everyone can start ordering from the May-August 2026 catalog! You will love so much in this catalog, but especially the 2026-28 new In Colors. They are: Barely Blush (a very pale pink)
       Crisp Cantaloupe (a crisp pale orange)
       Golden Glow (a lovely gold that will go with everything)
       Peaceful Pine (a timeless green)
       Hydrangea Hue (a purplish blue, that for now is my favorite of the 5)
I have made a card today that features Hydrangea Hue and the new Scalloped Blooms bundle. I think this bundle, especially the nested scalloped dies, will be a favorite with many people. Here's the same card as above made in all the new In Colors--do you have a favorite yet?


Let's make this card. Gather your supplies:

  1. Hydrangea Hue cardstock—card base 5 1/2" by 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” on the long side and folded along the score line. 
  2. Basic White cardstock--inside piece 3 3/4" by 5", second piece for the front 3 1/2" by 4 3/4", sentiment piece die cut from the 3rd smallest Scalloped Blooms die
  3.  2026-28 In Color Painted Patterns DSP--1" by 4 1/2" of the Hydrangea Hue striped piece
  4. Bloom Boutique DSP--2 pieces 1" by 4 1/2"
  5. Stamp set--Scalloped Blooms, Words & Wishes (for the inside sentiment)
  6. Dies--Scalloped Blooms
  7. Ink— Hydrangea Hue
  8. Hydrangea Hue Bordered Ribbon
  9. Embellishments--2026-28 In Color Butterflies
  10. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Stamp, Cut and Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool,  Piercing Mat or Glass Mat Studio, Regular Dimensionals
Let's start with the stamping. Using Hydrangea Hue ink, stamp the front sentiment on the Scalloped Blooms die cut and the inside sentiment from Words & Wishes on the 3 3/4" by 5" piece of Basic White. You can add the latter to the inside of your card. 


Now for the front. Take the 3 1/2" by 4 3/4" piece of Basic White and add the three 1" strips of DSP. I like to adhere the 2 outside ones first and then evenly space the middle one. Tie the Hydrangea Hue Bordered Ribbon around this piece then adhere to the front of the card. Attach the sentiment piece with Dimensionals and then put one of the large Hydrangea Hue In Color Butterflies to the bottom of the Scalloped Borders die and you are done.

  3rd Charming Duck Pond Post This card is a modified gate-fold card as the left front is just 1 1/4". I love how you can use most of the page of the 6" by 6" piece of DSP scenery to make this card. Sometimes I use the back side for the little pieces, but this time I used a separate piece of DSP with just the rushes on it. Enjoy!

  Floating Christmas Tree So if you make a lot of holiday cards like I do, it is time to start working on them! I know, I know, we haven't had Halloween yet, but if you want to send them out before the holiday it is time to get working. And this lovely card was inspired by someone else (sorry I just took a picture of it but there was no name on it so I can't thank you) who used her scraps to make the tree. I took it one step further and made a floating scraps tree. I've been wanting to make a card with this technique for a while and I knew this tree would look fabulous like this. And the second bonus is that I got to use up a ton of Lights Aglow scraps, even the small ones. All you need to do is cut your scraps into 1/2" pieces, attach them to a piece of window sheet and then cut out whatever shape you like. Gingerbread Man & Woman Aren't these gingerbread man and woman just so cute? They are from the new 2025 Sept-Dec Mini Catalog that goes live to everyone at midnight 9/3/25. I am sure they are going to be a big seller, so get yours quickly before they sell out (just my prediction). The stamp set has lots of different expressions for our little gingerbread person, and the dies have many different objects for them to hold, but the cutest part of the bundle is that the die cuts 2 gingerbread men that you fold in half to make a card that can open.  This set is called Gingerbread Man, but I just had to see if I could make a gingerbread woman as he seemed to need a girlfriend. I don't know if you can tell, but her skirt is made from one of the Coneflower Celebrations dies cut from both Real Red and Garden Green cardstock.
