Hot Foil System Card

This is a game changer! Stampin' Up! has just come out with their own Hot Foil System and I am loving it. I had never played with hot foil in the past and it is so cool! Remember what it was like the first time you heat embossed something and the light that went on in your head and eyes? That is what it feels like when you first foil something. It really is different than heat embossing--the paper feels smooth afterwards, as if the foil was there all along. The system works with our Stamp, Cut & Emboss machine (but not with an old Big Shot) which is sold separately. Don't miss this opportunity to really enhance your card-making ability--it is a game changer and is very easy to use. It just went on sale to customers, and they have a limited inventory of both the machine and dies, so get it soon if you are interested.

For this card I used the Velvet Meadow Designer series paper, just a 3" by 5 1/2" piece with 2 1/2" pieces of Berry Burst glued to the sides and then glued to a Peaceful Pine card base. But the real winner on the card is the sentiment done with pink foil and the Classic Greetings and Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies and stencils.

I decided to do this post a bit different than usual as you really need to watch my Facebook Live below to get a feel for this new technique and different ways to use it.

Here's one of the butterflies up close. I used Bubble Bath, Berry Burst and Peaceful Pine in this order using the matching dies. I just picked the colors in the beautiful paper to guide me.

This was my inspiration card that I made over a month ago, using the Words & Wishes dies. I was saving it until the DSP comes back in (now saying the week of August 3rd), but decided to remake it using the new foiling system when I realized everyone can buy it now. You really do need it in your stash.

Here's the link to my Facebook Live that I've moved to YouTube (as Facebook deletes them in a month). Enjoy learning to use the Stampin' Up! Hot Foil System! I will be having a total knee replacement surgery 7/15/26 so will be out of commission for a few weeks. See you soon!
