Labeled with Love


You might have missed the Adorable Labeled with Love bundle on page 58 of the 2024-5 catalog, but it is a powerhouse! It has loads of cute images as well as sentiments in beautiful fonts. And the best thing is that you can choose your bundle--you can either get a punch or a set of 3 dies of the same thing, which is great for making shaker cards. I chose the punch, as I love the ease of making sentiment labels with a punch. Either way you can't lose!

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Petunia Pop cardstock --Card base 5 1/2"" by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4". Punch a Labeled with Love piece
2. Basic White cardstock--a piece 3 7/8"  by 5 1/8" for the front, a 3 3/4" by 5" piece for the inside of your card and punch a Labeled with Love piece.
3. Gorgeous Grape cardstock--a piece 4" by 5 1/4"
4. Stamp Sets--Labeled with Love
5. Punch or Dies--Labeled with Love
6. Ink--Fresh Freesia, Petunia Pop, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Memento Black
7. 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems
8. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool,  Regular Dimensionals, Small or Large Blending Brushes, Post It Notes

Start by making the ombre piece down the side of the  3 7/8"  by 5 1/8" piece of Basic White. Use Post It Notes to mask off 2" of the piece of paper and then with your Blending Brush start with the Fresh Freesia ink. A light touch is good as you can always add more--watch my video below for how to do this. Then go down the inks as listed above, making sure to overlap the colors a bit as you go. Randomly stamp the butterflies in Memento Black ink as below. 


Stamp the sentiment on the Basic White Labeled with love punch/die in Gorgeous Grape ink.

Now cut the Petunia Pop label in half horizontally and put glue on it like below. Attach to the back of the sentiment piece leaving a small gap as in the second picture, but make sure the border is even in the front. This is why I like to use Multipurpose Glue for this as you can move the pieces around a bit. 

    

For the inside stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and the butterfly in Memento Black on the 3 3/4" by 5" piece of Basic White, then attach this inside your card. 


Let's put the card together. Attach the ombre stamped piece to the piece of Gorgeous Grape, then to the folded card base. Attach the sentiment piece with Dimensionals. Scatter some of the Petunia Pop 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems and you are done!

  Floating Christmas Tree So if you make a lot of holiday cards like I do, it is time to start working on them! I know, I know, we haven't had Halloween yet, but if you want to send them out before the holiday it is time to get working. And this lovely card was inspired by someone else (sorry I just took a picture of it but there was no name on it so I can't thank you) who used her scraps to make the tree. I took it one step further and made a floating scraps tree. I've been wanting to make a card with this technique for a while and I knew this tree would look fabulous like this. And the second bonus is that I got to use up a ton of Lights Aglow scraps, even the small ones.   Pick of the Patch Joy Fold Card This fun joy fold card just makes me smile. I'm loving the Pick of the Patch bundle lately for its versatility--it can make beautiful fall cards, great Thanksgiving cards, and today a Halloween card. And all from a relatively inexpensive punch bundle. Now are you wondering where the Pumpkin Pie Designer Series Paper in the background is from? Playing with Thoughtful Journey DSP Hopefully you have received your new 2024-25 Annual Catalog by now--if not please email me at stampwithdrrobin@gmail.com and let me send you one if you don't have a demonstrator. I am making a card today using the gorgeous 6" by 6" Thoughtful Journey DSP as each page is more beautiful than the last. These pages are stand alone amazing--all they really need is a sentiment added to make a card, but I thought I'd fancy them up today with some other new products.
