Spotlight on Nature Meets Copper

This was one of the cards I showed you last week when we were playing with Spotlight on Nature bundle. I had several of you ask how I made it, so I thought the best thing to do was to show you, both here and on my Facebook Live you can watch below.

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:

1. Pretty Peacock cardstock --Card base 5 1/2"" by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4". 2 pieces 4" by 5 1/4".
2. Basic White cardstock--a 4" by 5 1/2" piece for the inside of your card and a scrap for the sentiment.
3. Oxidized Copper Specialty DSP--a piece die cut using the second largest Spotlight on Nature die
4. Stamp Sets--Spotlight on Nature and Everyday Greetings
5. Dies--Spotlight on Nature
6. Ink--Pretty Peacock
7. Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder
8. Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins (the Copper ones)
9. Metallic Enamel Effects Basics (the Copper one)
10. Embossing Supplies--Embossing Buddy, Versamark, Copper Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool.
11. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool,  Regular Dimensionals, Cut and Emboss Machine

Start by embossing the large flower stamp on one of the 4" by 5 1/4"" pieces of Pretty Peacock cardstock. To emboss, rub your Embossing Buddy over the cardstock, ink up with Versamark, stamp, then scatter the Copper Embossing Powder over the top and flick off the excess. Heat with your Heat Tool until the powder melts--it's still magic to me every time. Now fussy cut out the flower (sorry no die for this).

Run the other piece of 4" by 5 1/4" of Pretty Peacock through your Cut and Emboss Machine inside the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Squeeze a bit of the Copper  Metallic Enamel Effects Basics on to your Glass Mat (on sale now in the On-Line Exclusive section at Stampin' Up!) or your Silicone Mat. Use a Sponge Dauber, or a Blending Brush, or just a piece of tissue to smear some lightly over the embossed paper. Please watch my Facebook Live video below to see how I did this. Attach this to your folded card base--Multipurpose Glue is my favorite for adhering embossed paper as it gets in all those folds so well. Here's a slightly more close up version so you can see the Metallic Enamel Effects better:

Using the Pretty Peacock Oxidized Copper Specialty DSP, die cut using the second largest Spotlight on Nature die. Be sure to punch out all the bits! Attach to the card using Multipurpose Glue, making sure to leave room for the sentiment below. Attach your embossed flowers using Regular and Mini Dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment from the new (On-line Exclusives) Everyday Greetings stamp set in Pretty Peacock on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and fussy cut it out. Attach with Dimensionals.

Scatter 3 of the Copper Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins around the card.

For the inside, you can stamp the flower in Pretty Peacock, or just put a small strip of the Oxidized Copper DSP on the Basic White piece before attaching it.

Here is the same card done in Blackberry Bliss:
