Season of Green & Gold Fun Fold

If you have missed the Season of Green & Gold Suite, you are not alone.  It is an Online Exclusive that came out a couple of months ago, so go to stampinup.com and check it out, or check out my Facebook Live below where I show everything in the suite and give you tips and tricks for making this card. The suite has the beautiful DSP I used on the card and the little die-cut leaves as well as some gorgeous vellum we didn't use on the card. The embellishments come in this clear/pearl as well as Cherry Cobbler in singles and groups of three, which are great for holiday cards and wreaths. And this fun fold is so easy but has a great impact when you open it up (see below).

Let's make this card! Gather your supplies:
1. Season of Green & Gold --Card base 5 1/2"" by 11" scored on the long side at 2, 4, 8, 10". Scraps from one of the green & gold pieces for the die cuts
2. Very Vanilla cardstock-- scrap for the sentiment, inside piece 3 3/4"  by 5"
3. Old Olive cardstock--cut the 3rd largest circle using the Stylish Shapes
4. Stamp Sets--Golden Greenery, Everyday Greetings
5. Dies--Golden Greenery, Stylish Shapes
6. Ink--Mossy Meadow, Old Olive
7. Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries
8. Basic supplies--Bone folder, Paper Snips, adhesive (I like Multipurpose Glue and Seal+), Paper Trimmer, Take Your Pick Tool,  Regular Dimensionals

Here's the inside of the card.

Start with the large piece of DSP and fold it like you are making a gate-fold card. Fold inwards on the inner score lines, then outwards on the outer (2 and 10") score lines. Make sure you have the DSP with the gold facing you and that the pattern isn't upside down as it does have a direction. Measure down 2" from the top on both outer edges and make a tick mark with a pencil. Now cut from the outer-most fold to that tick mark on both sides. Turn the little triangle you cut off upside down and glue it to the bottom outside corner as below. Simple but beautiful!

For the inside Very Vanilla piece use the two-step stamp as below in the corner. Stamp the stems in Mossy Meadow and the little heart-shaped leaves in Old Olive that has been stamped off (second generation). Attach this to the inside of the card.

Now for the front of the card. Stamp your sentiment on the largest flagged die cut from Stylish Shapes using Mossy Meadow ink. Using the leaf dies from Golden Greenery cut some scraps of the DSP and attach them to the Old Olive circle. Attach your sentiment to the circle using Dimensionals. Attach the left side only of the circle to the left side of the closed card. Add 2 of the single Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries to the sentiment as below.

Here's another picture of the finished card. Now you could also cut the card base at 5 1/4" and then add a quarter sheet of cardstock behind it, but I didn't do that today.
