Sneak Peak at Friends of the Ocean Suite When I first saw the Jan-April Mini Catalog this was one of the first suites that caught my eye--I love the bright colors in the Designer Series Paper and the Adhesive-Backed Dots are fabulous. I am a Brights person and this has so many bright colors in it. Also the upcoming Online Exclusives  Pastel Ombre Glimmer Paper goes really well with this suite of products, as you can see in this card.  Be sure to check out the discussion of Color Buddies on page 32 of the new catalog, and in my Facebook Live below--it's an interesting way to look at our colors and the choices Stampin' Up! is making about new colors.  Let's make this card! Gather your supplies: 1. Melon Mambo cardstock --Card base 5 1/2"" by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded along the score line 2. Summer Splash cardstock--4" by 5 1/4" 3. Basic White cardstock-- inside piece 3 3/4" by 5", piece about 3" by 6"...

Sneak Peak of the Floral Delight Suite I can hardly wait for you all to be able to order from the new Jan-April Mini Catalog on 1/7/25 and this suite is one that I am sure everyone will want. The bright and beautiful yellow focus of this suite is just so beautiful--it makes me so happy to see all the yellow in the DSP and makes me think of spring. I had such fun making cards from this suite which I shared on my Facebook Live at Stamp with Dr Robin on 12/16 (my computer isn't letting me download the video today to share on here). Be sure to watch me make this card, and also give tips on using this suite as the multi-step stamps and dies can be a bit confusing.  Let's make this card! Gather your supplies: 1. Peach Pie cardstock --Card base 5 1/2"" by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded along the score line 2. Basic White cardstock-- 2 pieces 3 3/4" by 5" pieces and a small scrap for the sentiment piece   3. Floral Delight DSP--the Pec...

Iconic Chanukah   I have been making lots of Chanukah cards lately and most have been with the Online Exclusive Celebrate the Miracle stamp set, but my card today is an out of the box use of the Iconic Imagery (also an Online Exclusive) stamp set. I love thinking of new ways to use my stamps and, until the Celebrate the Miracle stamp set came out, we had to really get creative with our stamps to make a Chanukah card. Well, here's my "let's get creative" card. Let's make this card! Gather your supplies: 1. Thick Basic White cardstock --Card base 5 1/2"" by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded along the score line 2. Basic White cardstock-- 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" (or 4" by 5 1/4" like I did in the video)  and a second piece 3" by 3 1/2" 3. Iconic Celebrations--2 3/4" by 5 1/4" cut on the short side 1 1/2", 3/4" and 1/2" 4. Silver Foil--1/2" by 3" and a piece punched with th...

Celebrate the Miracle in Navy I have several Chanukah cards to share with you over the next few days. Chanukah commemorates the re-dedication of the temple in Jerusalem when the army of Jews led by the Macabees drove out the Greeks/Syrians from the area. They found enough oil to light the Everlasting (always on) Lamp for one day but the oil lasted 8 days--such a miracle! The Jewish calendar is a lunar calendar, which is why the holiday moves around every year. This year in 2024 it starts the night of 12/25 and lasts for 8 nights. We light the lights of a special menorah (called a Chanukiah as it has 9 candles instead of the usual 7 candles of a regular menorah) adding a candle every day, increasing the light of the world every day! This card uses the Celebrate the Miracle stamp set, which is still available as an Online Exclusive on the Stampin' Up web site. Check it out as it has lots of cute stamps including all that I used today. If you get lost, or just want some extra tips a...
