Sunflower Embossing Folder Techniques The Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder from the Online Exclusives is a must have in my opinion. It makes such beautiful, deep embossed images that can be colored in so many ways, but this time I wanted to show you some techniques you might not have thought to do with it. You may want to watch my Facebook Live below to get a better feel for these techniques and some extra tips on using your punches. I've attached the YouTube link as Facebook is now deleting videos after 1 month and I want you to be able to watch them any time. And then come back every Monday at 1 pm to Stamp with Dr Robin on Facebook for more cardmaking fun.  Let's make these cards!  I will refer to the card on the right as card #1 and the card on the left as card #2. Gather your supplies: 1. Basic Black cardstock --Card base 4 1/4"by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded in half on the score line for card #1. Second piece 4" by 5 1/4" for...

Perfectly Pears Pop-out Card I have really had a lot of fun lately playing with the Painterly Pears suite of products, especially this gorgeous Designer Series Paper. I recently watched Patty Bennett (a very talented Stampin' Up demonstrator) stamp a bunch of these pears, so decided to stamp some and couldn't stop! I love trying different colors on the pears, adding color with sponge daubers mostly. I learned how to do this fun fold from Lisa Curio--it uses a good sized piece of the DSP but packs a punch when you open it up as you can see below. The best way to learn how to fold this is by watching my video below--it's going to be hard to describe how to fold it as it doesn't show up well in photos. Here is the card open: Let's make this card! Gather your supplies: 1. Old Olive cardstock --Card base 4 1/4"by 5 1/2". Also die cut the large stem of leaves. 2. Basic White cardstock--Cut 2 of the 4th largest Textured Notes die cuts. A second piece to stamp and...

A Joyful Jolly Holly Card Introducing the new Jolly Holly bundle that includes a beautiful stamp set with lots of great sentiments for inside and outside of your cards, a die set and a hybrid embossing folder that works with the large die that I used to cut the holly paper on the front of this card. This special hybrid embossing folder can be used like this to partially cut out the holly (which can then be easily cut out completely) as well as just a regular folder. When you use the dies with it, you can nestle the 2 piece sentiment rectangles under some of the holly leaves--such an ingenious idea!  I like an all vanilla and gold card for the holidays as it seems so classy to me. I think you could also use this card for a winter wedding or anniversary just by changing the inside sentiment. We are using this set, as well as the Jar of Joy stamp set in our Christmas in July class that you can come do here with me in San Diego, or get sent to your house to do at home with the PDFs/vid...

Two Inspiring Imperfections Cards Today we will be making 2 cards using the Inspiring Imperfections bundle from the Kintsugi Suite of products in the Annual Catalog (pages 58-60). I was drawn to this set when I first saw it for multiple reasons--first of all the paper is to die for with the gold foiling on one side of each of the papers. Also, my husband and I have traveled a lot in Southeast Asia and love Asian art. And the third reason is that Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese technique of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer. The gold veins don't hide the imperfections, but rather celebrate them. I think we should all be celebrating our individualism and imperfections.  Let's make these cards!  I will refer to the card on the left as card #1 and the card on the right as card #2. Gather your supplies: 1. Petal Pink cardstock --Card base 4 1/4"by 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" and folded in half on the score line for card #1. Card base for card ...
